With Independents and undecideds joining the Patriot movement in droves, even at this late date in the campaign, it’s just about curtains for the Democrats.
What really gets to me even now, two years into Obama’s leftist extravaganza, is how blind and deaf the Demarxists really were and, presumably, still are. They had it made. They had it all. We couldn’t stop them if we tried. But we tried. And we tried again. And in the end we still had no power. But we had stopped them. We had slowed down their agenda… and stopped them from bringing up several of their other signature abominations… for example, cap and tax and amnesty for illegals.
The very best of their tried and true story lines, told by a previously unfailing list of leftist A-listers and Hollyweird types, fell flat. They couldn’t grab a crowd at a bus stop during rush hour, so all over the country the left has been offering incentives to vote, in the form of everything from free food and concerts to actual cash to buy votes for them. It’s the only way they can fill a venue.
It’s not just that America isn’t listening to the left anymore. It’s that we did listen. What we saw and heard was enough to foster the new political reality of the Tea Party patriots.
No matter what, do not let them (the leftists) deter you for even a second. This is the final drive for success in turning back the Marxist assault on our Republic and our freedom. Don’t go getting lazy or weak now. Go back and get everyone you’ve talked to in the last six months and get them to the polls.
Vote for freedom…
Vote for America…
Vote like your life depended on it…
I remember a time not too long ago when Conservatives, especially in places like the San Francisco Bay Area, kept a pretty low profile. The ultra politically correct makeup of many businesses here can be an adventure for the bold, or a minefield for the unwary and timid.
San Francisco Tea Party, August 2009.
Don’t get me wrong. There are an awful lot of Conservative folks in the Bay Area, but for a lot of years, under the unremitting lash of the strident ultra-leftist activism here, many Conservative Patriots chose not to call attention to themselves.
As I noticed in college, some of my ‘macho’ veteran buddies just caved in and followed along with the anti-American theme running through my school and virtually every American college or university. Those of us that stood for America and were outspoken patriots were reviled, jeered at and sometimes spat upon… by the enlightened leftist thuglets in training.
There were times when our patience exhausted and we took appropriate action. But most of the time we just focused on our schooling and let the bleating of the ‘intellectual academic class’ recede into the white noise it was.
It’s been one of the great privileges of my lifetime, witnessing the first blossoming of the now Great American Patriot Movement, being able to participate in, and report on, this historic shift away from all things leftist. The ‘New American Revolution’ is here.
It’s been a visceral reaction of the entire body politic of America. We reached out and felt the immense evil of Barack Obama’s White House, the DeMarxist Congress and the slavish toadying of the lame stream press. We ought to start calling it the washed up press, because that’s exactly what happened… the American people went to the burgeoning ‘New Media’ with which this column is proud to claim membership. The people liked what we said because we told the truth… and the truth was apparent to them.
It was the beginning of the awakening of the American people. It’s like the guy who gets hammered and is groggily trying to get it together. Eventually, his head is going to clear. America has been doing a whole lot of learning in the process of the giant being aroused. We probably have a better educated and better informed electorate than any of my memory.
This is what will be the ultimate defeat of the Marxists who wish to rule our lives; these elitist academics who have never held a job nor had to meet a payroll. They have created nothing.
The voice of the American people is going to be heard all over the world next Tuesday, November 2. Be sure you’re there!!
Mike Pence said it pretty well the other day when speaking about the impending takeover of Congress, or at the very least, the House. We are going to start from day one to reduce spending and cut funding across the board. He said that he would especially pay attention to what the Patriots of this country have sent them there to do. They would not wait for 2012 and the assumptive defeat of Barack Hussein Obama.
There are also some very probing inquiries to make… of the activities of some lawmakers as well as the White House. Incoming Republican lawmakers are being advised to bring their own staff to Washington. The Republicrats that fancy themselves as the leaders of the party have planned to infiltrate the freshman lawmakers’ staffs by ‘volunteering’ to staff for them, allowing them to position spies inside Representatives’ staff to inform and influence.
It’s a very long laundry list of tasks, that are going to require the attention of our young Congress in order to do damage control on the depredations perpetrated by the DeMarxist Congress and the hard-left White House cabal of Barack Obama.
It’s going to be a different America. An America rededicated to the Constitution of the United States. An America where our borders are secure and illegal immigration laws are followed. We need to yank the funding for the Environmental Protection Agency.
While we’re slaying dragons we may as well take on the public employees unions and break the stranglehold that they, and their willing symbionts the DeMarxists, have in government, which is owned lock, stock and barrel by unions like SEIU, through multiple millions of dollars of campaign bribes… er… contributions.
Republicans are going to have to move quick when the present Congress goes into their lame-duck session in November and December. Minimizing or derailing any remaining Marxist stunts will be on the top of the agenda until the new Congress takes over.
Again, if you want to help and don’t know how, please contact the Tea Party Patriots… teapartypatriots.org. They can use all the help you can give.
Get out in your neighborhood and organize… Shout freedom from the rooftops!
We, that is Dee and I, have been warning all our readers and friends to expect just exactly what the DeMarxists are doing. Everything from so far ‘unconfirmed’ reports of electronic machines marking votes for Reid on Republican ballots (machines serviced by SEIU) to military ballots being purposefully delayed more than once. Philadelphia Republicans have uncovered what looks like a Democrat scheme to overwhelm the county voting apparatus with fraudulent voter registrations. There was more electronic meddling with machines in Virginia.
A ‘ringer’ on the three judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, declaring herself eligible to serve as a sort of substitute for an ailing judge, Sandra Day O’Connor, lent her unfailing ultra-left vote to the panel, and Nevada got ripped off by an activist judiciary once again.
We can look for more of the same and worse. SEIU and the other public employees unions, who in another era could easily have passed for brown shirts, are out on more of their ‘public education’ operations, which usually consists of intimidating voters and fostering voter cheating.
Republicans have launched myriad attorneys and vote watchers to key districts. All of you should be extra vigilant and observant. If you see or read anything that would contravene voting law, speak up right then and there. Don’t be a bit shy about it. The bottom line is that it’s up to you and me, all of us, to see this fight through to the end. If you want to help but don’t know how, contact the Tea Party Patriots at teapartypatriots.org.
In the final analysis, it’s just exactly like Rush Limbaugh said yesterday… The way we overcome their voter hi-jinks is to overwhelm them at the ballot box and that’s just what we’re going to do.
Once again, pay zero attention to ‘them’ or their polls or their misdirection… they are lying.
This will be my last article before the mid-term elections, only six days away now. Skip and I have swapped days due to our work commitments and he will be writing Saturday’s article. While mentioning ‘the great eagle of the blogosphere’, he has stated that these elections could possibly be the most important… ever. I concur with this viewpoint and recent campaign events have further underlined this fact.
The 111th Congress has been one of the most unpopular, if not the most despised, in history. A recent Harris poll gives them an approval rating of 11%, hardly a good position for incumbents at election time. Their public approval has followed a consistent downward path, accentuated every time they instigate or enact some measure that is both intrinsically alien and unacceptable to the majority of the populace.
Eighty per cent of Americans identify as conservative or centrist. It’s not surprising that the attempts of the President and Congress to impose heavy-duty government control and regulation, à la European Union, is not well-received. This is not the EU, where the public has been molded to accept the nanny-state attitude where ‘government knows what’s best for you’.
The attempts to create a socialism-based country in the face of overwhelming opposition by the people serves to prove one undeniable fact. Obama and his followers (not to mention his Marxist mentors) are only concerned with the fruition of their ideologies. To them, the collapse of the American economy, increased unemployment and the removal of individual freedoms are a small price to pay for the realization of their dreams.
The reaction by Obama, a result of mounting pressure on the Democrats in the closing days of the campaign, are reinforcing this theory in the most hideous of ways. Historically, one of the strategies of all dictatorships is purposeful divisiveness… the promise of reward (often not fulfilled) to supporters and the demonization of opponents.
Obama has never accepted any responsibility for failure. From day one he blamed the legacy of George Bush and the effects of the last Republican-controlled Congress, a whole four years ago. After the lampooning of opposition politicians he shifted his focus to conservative media. His fixation with Fox News could only be described as an obsession… not a good thing for a supposed national leader.
By the time of the mid-term elections, he has a hit-list of ‘enemies of the state’… Republicans, Conservatives, the Tea Parties, all conservative media, man-made global warming skeptics (especially if they are highly qualified on the subject), anyone who attempts to uphold immigration laws… well, need I go on further? Not only are these folks mentioned in his auto-cued ramblings, they are usually the targets of the obligatory false accusations, name-calling and, as in the case of Arizona, legal action.
This week, Obama made an astounding comment to Latinos, urging them to, quote, “punish our enemies”. He was, of course, referring to every person who does not vote Democrat. With his continued alienation of Americans, Obama and company are left with the support of socialists, a large percentage of the black electorate (perhaps less after the NPR incident) and a smaller than anticipated number of Hispanic voters. He can take solace in the fact that he may have the support of many dead voters and illegal aliens, plus some hinky electoral procedures!
A president who regards the majority of his people as enemies, while avoiding the use of the word to describe those that would see the destruction of the United States of America, can not be allowed to continue in office. Yes, this probably is the most important election of modern times. We must re-take Congress next week, en route to replacing Obama with a president who puts the American people first, above all else.
We are not going to “sit in the back”. From next week, we will be in the driver’s seat!
Thank you, Mark, for the rallying cry and it couldn’t be more on message or more timely. The socialist plague rats are scurrying for their lives. If there’s a message here it’s that the Demarxists have been caught out in the open and exposed for just exactly who and what they are, to far more than just American voters.
Mark Levin
They have been exposed for the low characters that they are… the flimflam men working the rubes… until the rubes wake up. That the ‘rubes’ happen to be most of the populace of the United States and the flimflam confidence men are Obama and the clown college… all three rings of it. And the rubes are wide awake and raging!
The left is way past panic mode and are far into the desperation range on its depression meter. They’d better go have their collective Prozac… maybe on a drip feed… they’re going to need it. As Mark Levin said yesterday…They (the left) will do and say anything to discourage or dishearten Conservative voters. Most of it has no substance and has been manufactured of whole cloth.
We started warning Conservatives some time ago to be prepared for anything they throw at us. They’ve gotten pretty bold and like Mark said, it’s long past the time to talk to or engage these people. They have to be removed from the American political picture, never to be permitted to gain power again. That’s what this election is all about.
Don’t pay any attention to the noise coming from the lame stream media… they’re nothing anymore. They’re a bunch of bleating sheep without an original thought amongst them. They’re pretty much down to vicious, false personal attacks against individual Conservative candidates, against the Tea Party and the Patriots… and you, the American citizens.
We heard the President of the United States spout about Americans ‘not thinking clearly when they are afraid’. What a lame statement. The truth of the matter is that America is thinking, and very clearly at that. And Barry… we’re not afraid. No, we’re not afraid but we are raging mad. You’re going to have a ringside seat, Barry, on November 2… the day we pound you and your rotten Marxist party into sand.
So don’t listen to their polls and don’t pay attention to their commentary, for they lie with every word and every breath. Keep telling the story of freedom to your families, your friends and your neighbors.
Stay focused.
Sorry, folks. Couldn’t help myself. This column, or at least half of it, originates in the greater SF Bay Area. This team is peaking at just the perfect time. We wish the Giants good fortune in the World Series this week. I hope this doesn’t cost me my American League readers (grin).
Giants closer Brian Wilson.
I’m minded of the similarity of the last-stretch drive of the Patriots of this country to the election, and the Giants’ final run to the World Series. It’s been a story of the Patriot drive to wrest this great nation from impending destruction at the hands of ideologically driven socialists.
Leftist pundits and politicians have been predicting the demise of the Tea Party and Patriot movement practically from the moment that Rick Santelli coined the phrase. Many loosely organized groups of friends and neighbors predated Rick, but it turned out to be the clarion call that went from coast to coast in days, as Americans voiced alarm and anger over a totally unresponsive rogue, runaway government. Every time they said we were finished we grew exponentially. Now they are looking at a nationwide patriot movement numbering a couple of million voters… and counting. People are still flooding to the Conservative banner.
The left doesn’t understand freedom. It’s no more complicated than that. There is some basic personality flaw that must affect all liberals equally. They are the most hateful, miserable creatures alive. Always blaming or looking to blame. Always complaining even when there is no cause for complaint. Slavishly subservient to the secular god of government. Government is liberalism’s be-all and end-all. It’s their shining palace on the hill and their highest aspiration.
I’m positive that Barack Obama never anticipated the spontaneous uprising of American patriotism that he and his Marxist buddies encountered. Barack Obama never bonded with this or any country. As a kid he was knocked from pillar to post, as my grandmother would have said. He never put down roots. His family was liberal and had anti-American feelings. His mentor was a communist party operative who bathed him in the communist doctrine. All of his associations are anti-American and many are Marxists or, like Frank Marshall Davis, an out-and-out communist.
Is it any wonder that Obama just does not get it where freedom is concerned?
That’s what is going to defeat him. That’s what is going to defeat his party on November 2.
I’ve never liked national public radio and television. In the early days, when ‘public’ programming was mostly locally controlled, PBS used to be sort of fun. They actually addressed both sides of mostly local issues.
As the National Public Radio and Television networks came on line there was a noticeable leftward shift in programming… I noticed it especially around college broadcasting. However, the national network programs also fostered a definite liberal agenda, with short shrift for opposing opinions.
All of PBS is sucking, at least partially, at the public trough. I’ve heard figures of anywhere from 2 to 7 percent. I suspect the latter, only because succeeding governments have never been shy about pumping money into liberal causes. Their donor lists are a who’s who of very wealthy leftist foundations, all pumping money into them to support the leftist-socialist agenda.
PBS and NPR gradually swung farther and farther left, to the point that the ultra politically correct atmosphere was effectively stifling any opinions not falling within the rigid framework of their narrow ideology.
PBS and NPR have always been liberalism’s happy face to the nation. What they did to one of their own this week has torn the dressing off of an open and suppurating wound. It doesn’t smell very good either. What NPR did to Juan Williams was a classic example of how quickly and how viciously the left turns and devours any of those whom it deems to have left the fold. The message is clear. Violate the orthodoxy that is socialist political correctness and you will be cast out. Speak the truth and be scourged in the furnace of the left’s agitation propaganda machine and be destroyed.
It’s possible that NPR may not have picked the best time in the century to make not only a broadcasting martyr out of Juan Williams, but a political one as well. They may have done more damage to their (Obama’s) cause than they realize. Americans, both Democrat and Conservative, don’t like what was done to Juan.
Juan Williams is, by report and by my own observation over an extended period of time, an honest liberal who loves and respects his country. He is a liberal and by definition wrong, but Juan would always be fair and at least acknowledge the conservative argument.
What greater contrast could there be between the left and the right? Between the darkness of socialistic mind control and free people in a free and open society. No, I don’t think this massive display of PC excess has done them or their cause any good.
The mindset of the American people at this time, ten days before the election, is somewhere far south of ugly. As a matter of fact, I’ve been hearing the term ‘voter rage’ recently… Rage is a good way to put it.
Let’s focus that rage on the ones for whom it is intended and work hard for ten days to put this thing away.
By the time you read this, possibly somewhere in Michigan. Just like television sweeps time, it’s a pretty safe bet to wheel out an old favorite to draw the crowds. Nothing new, the same worn out story lines… but with a comfort factor like that favorite pair of old slippers.
Where's Wildo? Clinton in Denver, 2008.
The Democrat mid-term election campaign has been disastrous. They could not campaign on their achievements, which included what is possibly the most unpopular bill in recent decades, or their track record on employment and the economy. Some attempted to use the ‘fear factor’, warning voters of the result of going back to the days of the Republican-controlled Congress. Can anyone truly say that things were not better before 2006 than they are today?
Their alternative strategy of trying to appear centrist in the campaign ads has fallen flat. It fails to impress the die-hard liberal voter and cannot sway the conservatives, who have long memories. Just like the long list of Obama pre-election promises that were never fulfilled, or totally reversed, this pathetic attempt to woo the electorate has become totally transparent.
While Obama sets off on a whistle-stop tour of key states, no doubt spinning his divisive spiel to minority groups along the way, many beleaguered Democrats prefer to invoke the nostalgia quotient.
There is more than a little irony that the man who was so scathing of Obama in 2008 is jumping in to the ring in an attempt to do what the President can not. The electorate are not falling for the lies and smears in the campaigns, so they bring in Bill Clinton to lend a hand. Do I detect a hint of irony in that sentence, also?
Much of the election coverage has included talk of a possible rift between the establishment GOP and the Tea Party. This is nothing to what I can foresee happening to the post-election Democrats. Not only is Clinton rallying to the Democrats’ call, they are rallying to him… in a way they never would to Obama.
It’s quite possible that Clinton is attempting this act of damage control out of loyalty to his party. I have read pundits’ opinions on his motives, which include his “love of the limelight”, “addiction to adulation” and “repaying a debt to those who helped Hillary in 2008″.
I would say they are all pretty much on the money, although the last statement is the most interesting, with possible future implications.
Hillary is noticeably giving Obama a wide berth, almost to the point of disassociation. I could not believe the rumors that there was talk of a Clinton-Biden job swap. While Biden is the nodding yes-man that Obama needs, I could not imagine Hillary in that role. The only possible reason that she would be appointed VP is in the event of Obama having to give up the Presidency, perhaps through ill-health… maybe stress or insanity.
I believe it’s a certainty that Hillary Clinton will run for the Presidency, probably sooner rather than later. The dutiful husband is already laying the groundwork with their loyal band of supporters. He knows, she knows, the majority of Democrats know that their party is doomed if they maintain the far-left policies of the Obama regime.
After November 2, Obama will be pretty much a lame duck, with little support from his party, no support from Congress and a public that wants nothing more than to see the back of him.
Enter, stage right……
I don’t mind telling you it’s been a very long 21 months under the socialist, redistributionist Obama administration. The cheap chrome job is showing the base metal underneath.
All across the nation the Marxists are on the run, even as the lame stream bleats out fractured story lines about largely fanciful DeMarxist gains, as the badly duped American citizen begins to come to his senses. Nothing could be farther from reality. The nationwide mobilization of the Tea Party Patriots has already begun… millions of us registering, encouraging and aiding other Americans to vote for freedom.
That’s exactly what we’re talking about here folks… our freedom, yours and mine. We’re talking about regaining that which has been lost in the Marxist assault on our country. We’re talking about rededicating ourselves to the single greatest document ever conceived. The founders were giants among the men of their time… such a striking contrast to the mental midgets that infest, far too much, our body politic.
If you are a Marxist liberal, we are here to tell you that your days are numbered. The American Patriot movement is on the march and if you get in our way we’ll simply roll over you.
The Republican establishment types are taking shots at one of the finest of their membership, who simply will not compromise his values and who advocates a return to morality in America. Jim DeMint is one of the finest Senators in the nation and is a solid Tea Party Conservative Patriot. The leadership had better pay attention because we are.
Note to back-biting Republicrats. You may be biting off much more than you want to try and chew. How would it be to wake up one morning to find that the RNC has lost its power to resolve anything; much less who’s going to run where. You so-called establishment Republicans had better get your heads out of the sand and start counting votes… there’s not many… most of the votes are in the hands of the Patriots.
So you can go ahead and play your games, but I can tell you for certain that in many people’s eyes the Republican brand has been damaged beyond repair. You simply can’t be trusted.
Here’s something to send you home with dyspepsia… think about this one for a second.
American Patriot Party… Mike Pence at the top of the ticket with ‘Barracuda’ Palin as his running mate.
Food for thought.
My article of Monday the 18th of October created a bit of a tempest. I’ve never had an article pulled on a Conservative site before. I’ve been tossed off of a couple of hard lefty sites, but that’s usually just funny.
I used to do a daily column on a really hard lefty site… I was astounded that they would publish my Conservative views. We were on there for about six months before someone on their editorial board came up for air long enough to realize that they were featuring a conservative op-ed every day, when they dropped us. We’ve been accidentally picked up by the Huffington Post once or twice too, that’s pretty hilarious.
The incident on Monday occurred on a site belonging to a writer and patriot I admire. One of his editorial staff took umbrage at my endorsement of a write-in candidate for Lieutenant Governor. Ok, I think I get the idea. We support and elect a liberal RINO Republican to keep from inviting Jerry Brown light into the state political arena, Gavin Newsom.
Fresh from destroying San Francisco, much the same way Jerry Brown destroyed Oakland as Mayor there, Newsom really wants to be Lieutenant Governor. He’d really love to have all those lovely Sacramento dollars to play with. There’s no situation out there that Newsom can’t make worse.
Yes, I agree. Newsom should never be allowed anywhere near Sacramento. But that doesn’t change a darn thing about what I think about Abel Maldonado. Meg had better be keeping a close eye on Mr. Maldonado should she be elected, as I feel confident she will be.
It doesn’t change a thing about the California or the National Republican Parties continually fostering candidates that may be able to garner a few marginal votes, but who turn against the party and against the people they are sworn to serve at the first opportunity. Gee, doesn’t that sound just like Abe? Let’s ask good ol’ Abe what his stand on illegal immigration is.
RINOs and other linguine-spined elitist Republicans are hell bent on taking charge of and co-opting the American Patriot Movement. These same establishment types are more trouble than they are worth. Today we have that political accommodation artist extraordinaire, Mitch McConnell, promising to find ways to co-operate with that monster in the White House. Hey, Mitch!! What is it you don’t get about the largest national movement that any of us has ever seen? We don’t want you to accommodate and make deals, period.
There are also, unfortunately, many not necessarily RINO Republicans who cave in to pressure by their peers on both sides of the aisles. These may be really nice folks, but they are not doing the job we sent them to do. We will remove them from office.
We do not wish to co-operate with Marxists or their surrogates. We intend to to defeat them and you, if you stand in the way of our saving this country and bringing it back under the Constitution. Be warned.
In an article I wrote for Skip’s column on September 18 (read here), I challenged Charles Krauthammer’s comments regarding the election of Christine O’Donnell, an act which he, along with many others, believed would give Delaware to the Democrats on a plate. It was one of the rare occasions that I found myself disagreeing with this writer, who I admire greatly.
In the same article, I covered the decision by Lisa Murkowski to run as a write-in candidate, following her primary defeat to Tea Party endorsed Joe Miller, and finished the column with the views of Jim DeMint, whose principles I strongly agree with.
The reason that I recap this particular article is that it seems so relevant to an event earlier this week, when a piece written by Skip was pulled from a very well-known Conservative website. One of the readers had taken umbrage that anyone could suggest the endorsement of a truly Conservative write-in candidate (not Murkowski, incidentally), an act which could endanger the chances of the far more liberal Republican nominee due to a split vote, and lead to the victory of the Democrat. The reader duly pointed this out to a site editor and the piece was removed.
The reason for this action was explained to Skip by the said editor, the logic of which is unassailable. I did find something amusing in his comments, which stated “When you’re the managing editor of this site you can get away with stuff like this. Not before.” I wondered whether this was a dig at the managing editor, and founder of the site, who recently declared his intention to vote for a Democrat whose policies are more conservative than the rival Republican.
Well, they are welcome to their in-house bickering. As for the job offer… neither of us would want to lose our freedom of speech in favor of marching in lockstep to a party. That’s Democrat tactics. It is ironic that a Conservative website should censor Conservative statements, for the benefit of a RINO. I guess the First Amendment, the Constitution and all honor goes south at election time.
This little, somewhat inconsequential, incident could underline a problem that we have to face. How many of our personal beliefs and values do we, or should we, have to sacrifice for the good of the Republican Party? The answer should be none, or very few. Ahh… in an ideal world!
It is all very well to blame the Tea Party, Conservative bloggers or the electorate for the prospect of lost Republican chances, but the reason has to be traced back to source. While the candidate appointment committees, including the NRSC, fail to promote real Conservatives this problem will not go away.
Conservatives and, I believe, the majority of Republican supporters have had enough of being fed liberals under the guise of the GOP. Is it not preferable to elect a Conservative Independent than a RINO? Remember, it’s voting on bills in Congress that matters most. The Republican Party must stop forcing conservative voters to confront and question their own beliefs… voting for the GOP candidate should be automatic, with no hesitation or feeling that ‘he/she is slightly better than the Democrat’.
I’ll end with the same line as my article of September 18, a quote from Jim DeMint: “Frankly, I’m at a point where I’d rather lose fighting for the right cause then win fighting for the wrong cause”.
Rush Limbaugh said that on his program on Monday… and it is. Thanks, Rush. You spoke for all of us. I saw the ‘demonic’ photographs and I agree. There is an aspect of evil emanating from this man, this Barack Hussein Obama, whose calculated destruction of the very fabric of this society, the enslavement of our people into abject penury and crushing debt was all but successful. That’s exactly what this Conservative tidal wave is all about. We stop him here and now!
This most important election in the history of this nation represents something unique in all the world, and all the world’s history. Never before has a nation risen up as one, in a totally bloodless revolution. And a revolution it is. From sea to sea, all across the (50) states (got that Barry?) people… Americans, young and old, from every conceivable station in life, have risen up and said, “No more“.
What is striking about those pictures of Obama is the body language. They convey a sense of desperation, a certain sense of panic that his carefully laid counter-revolution is off the tracks, and that his attempted communist takeover of this country (for that’s what it is) has been stymied because of those same patriots. Obama is fearful and angry, and that makes him more-than-ever dangerous… angry, fearful people make irrational decisions. This man’s extreme narcissism may foster deep psychological issues as well, that may lead to instability.
What is going to occur in this nation, barely two weeks from now, is but the first step in the long march back from the brink of totalitarianism. We are going to hound these Marxists from our government. We are going to make them wish for the ‘good old days’ of the McCarthy un-American activities investigations… we are going to hound them from public office and we are going to hound them from the Judiciary. We are going to hound them wherever they lift their ugly, hateful, divisive doctrine. It won’t end with this election, or the one after that, or those to follow. Americans will not be lulled to sleep by the liberal serpent again.
We, the American Patriots, are pledged on our sacred honor to bring this nation back, under the founding principles and the Constitution of the United States of America. No matter how long it takes!
California is a mess. No secret to those of us who live here. We’ve been sold down the river so many times by so many different politicians for so long that most people here are disgusted and very, very skeptical.
Karen England
I’m no fan of Meg Whitman, as readers of this column will recall. Jerry Brown is no option either, and certainly no bargain. I remember the messes he started and then left us to deal with… some of which, one way or another, we’re still paying for. Then, after he finished messing up the state he turned his attention to the city of Oakland, which promptly became an ultra-liberal crime and drug-laden ghetto with the highest murder rate in the country. Now he wants another shot at polishing off an already sinking ship.
California is on the brink of insolvency, thanks to inept leadership by people like Brown and the RINO Maximus holding the governor’s office, Arnold Schwarzenegger. Meg looks to me like another big government Republican. I’ve never quite gotten over her gushing endorsement of Van Jones, Oakland communist operative extraordinaire. Ok, I’ll write that one off as a stupid mistake. We all have our share.
Meg Whitman does have business experience that we desperately need. Whether she’ll have the guts to take on the California DeMarxists in our State Government and legislature remains to be seen. Don’t forget that Arnold, early in his first term, got his wrist slapped sharply by the leftists in the legislature and ran to hide under his ultra liberal wife’s political skirt and stayed there, selling out the voters of California at every opportunity.
I want to address the Lt. Governor race. The establishment California Republican Party with which I have many issues (it’s the Washville beltway light), has annointed Abel Maldonado as their guy for Lt Governor. Abel Maldonado is as big, or bigger, a RINO than Arnold. Among Maldonado’s more charming attributes is an affinity for amnesty and open borders. I’m surprised he doesn’t have a little La Raza patch on the seat of his pants.
I’ve never voted for a write-in candidate before… I’m going to advocate for it now. There are a lot of California conservatives that have proposed Karen England, who is currently the executive director of Capitol Resource Institute, a pro-family organization in Sacramento. She is also the director of “Yes On Proposition Eight”. Karen is a solid Conservative Republican, with more experience in researching legislation than most of the people on our payroll who are being paid to do it.
Before moving away from proposition eight. Let’s look at Abel Maldonado’s determined support of ‘Harvey Milk’ day in our schools, where children as young as five would be sexualized through predatory instruction and indoctrination, while gays have free reign to politicize our children while advancing their predatory doctrine. Harvey Milk was a predatory gay, whose only accomplishment was that he was an openly gay San Francisco supervisor who advocated multiple sexual partners. This is what they wish to force on our kids.
Karen England is the person we need in the Lt. Governor’s office… not Abel. Therefore, I’m endorsing Karen England as a write-in for Lt. Governor. Normally, I wouldn’t ‘waste a vote’ by splitting a ticket. England has been gaining a lot of attention and momentum amongst Conservatives in California, in spite of the California Republican Party doing everything in their power to torpedo her bid.
The California party is in as great a need of a major house cleaning as is Washville. Hear that, Tom Del Becarro, state Republican party Vice Chairman? Tom, and other Repubic establishment types, have been calling Karen and attempting to discourage her. What is it with Republicans that time after time, in national and state races, that they persist in picking exactly the wrong horse for the race?
The fact is, we need people like Karen England to turn this sinking tub around. To contact Karen’s campaign, go to: karenengland4california.com
Keep up the effort. Talk to everyone you know. Don’t be shy, ask if they are registered to vote. If they’re not, offer to help. If they are registered encourage them to vote.
This is all the marbles… Let’s take our country back!
It’s pretty incredible stuff, more so as hard information coming out of Iran is so fragmented and sketchy. I’m speaking, of course, of the ‘accidental’ explosion at the Imam Ali base, an Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s arms and ammunition depot at a ‘secret’ facility, which had extensive underground storage and launching facilities for the Shahab-3 long-range missile.
Satellite imagery of the area around Imam Ali base.
In fact, practically all of Iran’s inventory of the Shahab-3 was reportedly destroyed when (as the Iranians spun it) a fire got out of control at the base. Other Iranians blamed the Kurds. Kurds?! It must have been one hell of a raid. Just think about it… hundreds of miles through the mountains and desert to attack one of Iran’s most carefully secured military bases. Sure! Tough dudes, those Kurds.
That Israel has been able to penetrate Syrian air space, pretty much at will, is no secret. As far back as Sept. 5, 2007, Israeli fighter-bombers attacked a Syrian nuclear site at the village of Tal Abyadh, destroying it totally. The Israelis returned to base unscathed. The IAF has made numerous incursions into Syria, testing its air defense capability… now more important than ever, especially in view of Russian and Chinese technology being introduced into the theater.
The worm, that wonderful burrowing worm, is still raising hell with Iranian technology. The creators of that worm really attached some legs to that thing, ’cause it’s still runnin’.
The ‘Kurds’ presumably started the fire that ‘somehow’ penetrated a secure launch and storage facility a hundred or so feet below the ground, buried in bedrock and built with reinforced concrete. There were reports of three separate explosions on three levels(?)… that part is unclear. What is clear is that this missile base won’t be launching anything at Israel anytime soon. This sounds like a raid, and it’s got Israeli written all over it. As our friend Drudge would say… developing. While you’re at it, don’t forget the mysterious missiles that struck the Bushehr reactor building. We were told that they were ‘testing’ the plant’s security. Right!
I’m out of the business of predicting when Israel is going to go after Iran. You know, the Israelis know, and I know that, sure as sunrise, they’re going to have to go, probably sooner rather than later. They can’t expect any help from Imam (thanks, Rush) Obama in Washington. Maybe they’re counting on a more friendly Congress come November, that will be able to counter the worst of Barry Hussein’s depredations. That Conservative Republican Congress will most certainly not obstruct the Israelis, should they feel as though they cannot wait any longer for the sake of their national security, and I feel that time is very close. Whatever they do, they cannot accede to Obama’s wishes. There is no two-state solution.
More treachery, lies, and aid and comfort to Israel’s enemies is what can be anticipated with regard to Obama. These events appear to be a softening of anticipated military targets.
I sincerely hope so.
Pardon my French. I’m referring to the accusations flying from both ends of the political spectrum, and the associated denials by the targets. These to-and-fro volleys are all part of everyday political life, although they do become more vicious, and often desperate and unfounded, as elections loom large on the horizon.
Sharron Angle and Harry Reid in live debate.
I have been accused, on more than one occasion, of being a ‘denier’. Like the good Alinsky student, they use the guilt approach, with more than a smattering of fake disbelief that anyone could hold a view that conflicts with their own… “You don’t believe that man-made global warming exists?!” This is usually followed up with the (manufactured) statistical statement which begins “The consensus of opinion is….” When the guilt and fake scientific approach fails, they resort to ridicule… “I suppose you still think the Earth is flat?”
This is not an article on climate change, although the topic is a wonderful showcase for the manipulation tactics of the socialists. While touching the subject though, this letter written by Professor Hal Lewis is worth reading.
Charles Krauthammer, in his article of October 14, gave awards for performances in the 2010 election campaigns. The ‘most shameless national campaign attack’ trophy went to Obama’s suggestion that foreign money was used to fund the US Chamber of Commerce ads. When Bob Schieffer asked David Axelrod for evidence, his reply was, “Well, do you have any evidence that it’s not, Bob?” Charles goes on to compare this reverse-logic with an unprovable act by Obama. I personally believe that they have been reading Douglas Adams’ explanation of the ‘infinite improbability drive’.
In this video clip, replace the name ‘Cocteau’ with ‘Obama’.
The false accusations and infinitely improbable logic of the left can serve any, or all, of three purposes… to promote an otherwise unacceptable agenda to the electorate (stimulus, health care, cap-and-trade); to shift the blame for their failures (blame Bush, racial divisiveness – see Skip’s article of October 15); to detract the electorate from the real issues (any muckraking they can construe in an attempt to conceal the fact that they have no accomplishments to boast about).
The big difference between the accusations of left and right is that those from the right are based on fact. A liberal reader would say that this is a purely subjective statement. Not so. Can anyone honestly say that the American economy is looking rosy, that unemployment figures are showing improvement, that businesses are feeling confident for the future? A few months in, health insurers are already facing severe problems, thanks to Obamacare.
There is one charge leveled at Republicans by the Democrats that I do agree with, to an extent… the ‘party of no’. We don’t say ‘no’ like the obstinate child, testing a parent’s breaking point. We say “Hell, no!” to the destruction of the following: jobs, the economy, the Constitution, borders, personal freedom, American exceptionalism, and to the move toward socialism and to endless government spending.
On the charge of ‘No’, I plead guilty on all counts.
Post what? Barack Obama has done more to foster the division between racial groupings than all the real redneck racists out there combined… and there’s not nearly as many people busily working against blacks and other minorities as the left would have you believe.
With a totally narcissistic, committed ideologue like Barack Hussein Obama, in fact with all totalitarian governments, there must be unrest and a carefully controlled Balkanization, separating groups of people from the so-called mainstream for incredibly vicious attacks based on racial everything. In ugly point of fact, every time I hear a really creepy comment or racial slur it's invariably a Democrat or a DeMarxist operative.
Why America’s blacks are going to hang with with Obama through 2012 is a mystery to me. I think that the black community as a whole had an awful lot of political capital invested in Barack Obama.
I have close friends of many races. Most of my friends tend to be conservative. No surprises there! I’ve asked a couple of my black friends why, after two years of evidence of Obama’s horrific governance, they just can’t fess up and admit they made a mistake. The answer was that many blacks do see through Obama and know he’d drop them like a hot rock the second his interest took him elsewhere, or as soon as he no longer needed them to foster his mad dreams of America, the banana republic.
I think many blacks secretly realize he’s anathema to the black community. Barack Obama doesn’t build, he doesn’t nurture, he doesn’t husband. He destroys, he divides.
I’ve said this before, but it deserves a reprise here. These are black folks’ jobs that are being lost along with white. Those are white homes, and Hispanic homes, and Chinese homes that are being foreclosed.
This isn’t a black thing. It’s not a white or Hispanic thing, either. It’s an American thing.
No one has ever survived underground this long before. Oh, there have been rescues, but none, none nearly this long. In 2002, the Quecreek mine disaster, Somerset County, Pennsylvania, had nine miners trapped for 78 harrowing hours as mine water levels rose, endangering the mens’ lives as mine rescue teams frantically drilled and pumped.
Last man out - Luis Urzua.
The Chilean Government put out the call for help and the world responded. There was video and communications equipment from Japan and, from Germany, a special cable with which the mine rescue vehicle was to be winched up and down the rescue shaft. Two American companies supplied the best drilling and drill bit technology available anywhere in the world and the skilled experts to supervise and do the work.
The Chilean Government took the lead under the dynamic leadership of President Sebastian Pinera. Chile did everything in her power to facilitate the rescue. No effort was spared and no stone left unturned, as the rescuers tried to anticipate virtually every conceivable issue in bringing 33 men back from certain death in a rocky tomb, over 2,000 feet down after 69 days.
That these men survived at all is due in no small part to the courage and resourcefulness of the workers themselves. Probably the single greatest factor in the miners’ survival was the indomitable will and spirit of their shift boss Luis Urzua, who took charge and led with wisdom and skill. In the Military, we give the Medal Of Honor to such men.
I thought for a while that I was going to have an Obama-free night. I was also hesitant to write about the San Jose mine rescue because everyone else out there was focused on it too. But it is just too fine a story of human courage, determination, and inspiration to pass on. I know something about mines and mining, so I can testify as to just how great a miracle this rescue is. If you want to check out some really grim statistics, look at all the mine accidents through the years… the fatality count versus the pitifully few that have been, by God’s grace, saved.
Chile is no superpower, yet she flawlessly pulled off a highly complex operation with multiple facets in order to effect the rescue, and did it in virtually half the time of the initial estimates.True, she had a lot of help and advice (which she had the very good sense to listen to), but isn’t that what neighbors are for?
I can’t help but contrast Chile’s leadership with our own in similar circumstances. Obama was tried and found wanting. He really looks and acts tepid. His once soaring rhetoric has a desperate tone behind it. Every single person who saw what the Chilean faithful will be calling “the miracle of San Jose” on worldwide television and on the internet cannot help but think back to Barack Obama’s faltering, grudging response to the gulf oil spill, which he used as an excuse for shutting down our drilling nationwide with a phony moratorium.
I really can’t wait for November 2. These DeMarxists have to go. We’ll take care of retiring the emperor-with-no-clothes in 2012.
Regular readers of this column will remember a cartoon showing ‘the march of the Democrat lemmings’, where identical hordes poured over a cliff. That’s much like what’s still occurring within the DeMarxist ranks. Not satisfied to have presided over the single greatest threat to our livelihoods, our homes and our freedoms in the history of the country, many a Congress critter is about to ride the Obama express over the falls.
The mood of the country is neither forgiving nor is it likely to allow for much compromise with the left as far as most of us are concerned. The DeMarxists are running for their political lives. Barack Hussein Obama’s White House is rapidly becoming his Fuhrer’s bunker, just as Hitler lived underground in Berlin during the final days of the Reich. No, I’m not comparing Obama to Adolf Hitler, though there certainly are some ready comparisons.
The political landscape isn’t just looking bleak for the enemies of our country… it’s purely toxic. I mentioned yesterday that every new move of the DeMarxist political machine drops them even deeper into hot water with the American citizen. Yeah, the ones they’ve lied to and ignored for the last time.
Obama’s and the DeMarxists’ tactics are not going unnoticed or unremarked. They are facing an aroused populace, who has made it its business to be extraordinarily well informed about the condition of the country and the economy.
A seismic upheaval in the tapestry of American politics will occur in less than three weeks now. It’s not a question of victory any more. We are assured of that, however it is a matter of numbers… we’re sure to take the House by more, much more, than we need.
The Senate is also up for grabs with ten seats which could very likely swing Republican. There are thirty six gubernatorial seats up this election cycle, many of which may fall to Republicans. Add to that the truly staggering numbers of state and local races where Republican candidates are having a huge impact.
It is indeed a very tough year for incumbents.
We, that is we of the Conservative Patriot movement, have experienced pretty much the worst the Marxists of the Obama government have had to throw at us. The lame-tame, so-called mainstream press, whose slavish devotion to all things socialist is well known, has lost its grip on the American people.
Enter the alternate or ‘new media’, whose reportage has been scooping the media giants on a regular basis. Not only that, but stories can be broken nationwide instantly with a few keystrokes, and we have thousands of well-informed and patriotic writers who have taken it upon themselves to get to the story and then get the truth out.
The Marxist redistributionist cabal that had taken over the seat of government in Washington completely misread the mood and intent of the country. Yeah, we’d had all of George Bush that we wanted. We were bitterly disappointed in his weak inability to rein in his out-of-control Congress, for all he was, and is, a decent man who took his responsibility to protect the country and the people of the United States from further attacks by Islamist terrorists seriously.
The DeMarxists are still trying to play on his name, magnificently ignoring that it’s been two years since George Bush retired, and that this economy and these two wars in which our nation finds itself engaged are all Obama all the time, for two years now.
Journalists, even some of the supposed reliable lame-stream outlets, have been commenting on how there now appears to be a consensus that Obama is in over his head. Hell’s bells, fellas and gals… I could have told you that two years ago… and did… repeatedly. It’s looking like the leftists are going to pay the price for hijacking our government.
The American people are the same everywhere you go, and just about everyone you talk to is really angry and cannot wait for November 2. Many people of my own acquaintance, who in a normal political cycle wouldn’t even walk across the street to vote, are fired up and talking it up to others. That’s how this thing works… one American to another… one patriot to another.
Every time Obama or any of his (remaining) minions opens his mouth, they double down on our anger quotient, more people become active and the movement grows. See, that’s another thing that the DeMarxists haven’t figured out. It’s attraction, not promotion, that accounts for the spectacular growth of the Patriots and their supporters across the nation.
Three weeks… Register and read up on the candidates and the issues for your state and locality. Be an informed voter. It may very well be the most important thing you’ll ever do.
I can truthfully say that I fully expected this. It’s part and parcel of the way out-of-control totalitarian societies operate. It’s amazing how much alike they really are.
Bushehr Nuclear Plant
Perhaps I should let the poor seventh century throwbacks off the hook a little. It’s increasingly apparent that the Revolutionary Guard is calling virtually all the shots. They have garnered so much power to themselves that they form what, for all practical purposes, is a shadow government. They know how to play the game though… they always make sure that there’s a tame Mullah or two around to rubber stamp their activities which is, these days, just about everything.
The Revolutionary Guard would be the equivalent of Hitler’s Waffen SS divisions. Hitler’s secret nuclear and guided missile technologies were also under the gentle tutelage of the SS. Dictatorships cannot survive without having control of the populace, either through elections or through out-and-out military coup. Fostering unrest in neighboring countries is another hallmark of totalitarian states.
There is a double threat with dictatorial regimes in the middle east as well. We have the added factor of a religious war, perpetrated by members of a death cult who have sworn to destroy the west including, specifically, the United States of America.
The vaunted Iranian Intelligence agency (also under the auspices of the Revolutionary Guard) quickly scoured the country’s nuclear sites. They then proceeded to execute many supposedly guilty nuclear scientists and technicians that Iran can scarcely afford to lose. But (and this is another characteristic of totalitarian societies) the government of Iran murdered these men without hearing or trial, because that’s how dictatorships maintain control over their populations… by intimidation, fear and the brutal use of unbridled power.
No wonder I had heard that foreign scientists and workers had been exiting the country as fast as they could, after the discovery of the Stuxnet worm. I have a pretty good idea that, for all their bravado, the worm did far more damage than they wanted to admit. The viciousness of the reprisals and the fact that the men were killed, without so much as a sham trial, is an indicator of that.
My best guess is that the Stuxnet worm isn’t done with our Iranian friends yet. It may have several nasty little surprises left. I don’t have any insight into this other than a strong suspicion that they may have left some cute tricks behind like altering the programming of their missiles and fire control systems.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch.
It’s great to be an American. It’s great to be an American Patriot during this most momentous period in American history. Not that it isn’t a little scary too… with the assault against the fabric of the country by Barack Obama and his Marxist Government and Congress… with our borders a literal sieve, two wars, Iraq and Afghanistan, with the latter altogether uncertain because of Barack Obama’s indecision and his active undermining of the military mission and command there.
Some people see our president as favoring and aiding our enemies. If this was a Republican they’d be shrieking for his head, but then Obama did tell us that he had to get out of Afghanistan… he couldn’t lose the Democrats or some such? I’ll bet his statement got more play with the Taliban than it did with his rent-a-mob kook base. In a sane world we’d have him impeached and facing charges of giving aid and comfort to the enemy in a time of war.
No one is going to convince me, or the people of this country, that this recession is over, or even close to it. Businesses and money are fleeing Obama’s wunderland every day. You see, one of the things that the DeMarxists have never been able to figure out is that they can tax the rich all they want. People with money aren’t stupid… once you have money you have to work hard at keeping it. They’ll pull the plug and take their money and leave.
Obama’s tax nazis will find themselves presiding over a diminishing return. What was it that Maggie Thatcher said about socialism? She said something to the effect that socialism was just peachy keen until you run out of other people’s money.
We have a peaceful and significantly violence-free revolution underway in this country. But make no mistake about it, it is a revolution nonetheless. I’m proud to be part of it. It is a revolution that is going to sweep the enemies of this country aside. Less than four weeks to the day of reckoning for the Democrats.
Join us in our fight against the enemies of America.
Brian Sussman, KSFO’s morning anchor here in the San Francisco Bay Area, variously known as Babylon-by-the-Bay and the belly of the liberal beast, really went on a tear over the California Air Resources Board. I can’t repeat it here, or even much of it, because I was so transfixed when I heard it that I didn’t take notes. It’s worth listening to and if you go to Brian’s section on KSFO’s website, it is there to listen to on demand. Alternatively, click on this link to hear that portion of the show: Brian Sussman, Oct. 8, 6-7am.

Between the Environmental Protection Agency, the California Air Resources Board and its distaff offspring here in the nine-county Bay Area, the Bay Area Air Quality Resources Board, the level of over-regulation has reached insane levels.
Our absolutely useless state government aside, much of the downturn in the state of California is directly attributable to businesses of all classifications leaving the Golden State for greener pastures in business-friendly states, or offshore altogether. Either way, these powerful agencies are responsible to no one. There is no political oversight of these agencies, whose merest whim can destroy thousands of businesses with scant fear of any repercussion.
Aside from the exodus of money, jobs and skilled people we’ve experienced, new businesses are giving California a wide berth. Once they check the punitive tax rates, multiplicity of fees and other charges, and the punitive nature of the regulating agencies here, they say adios. Then they pick up their marbles and move to business-friendly states like Nevada or Arizona.
It appears that Conservatives are on the verge of a truly historic event in American politics. Conservatives have got to make an urgent priority of collaring these agencies, federal as well as state and local, that are literally choking American enterprise to death. They are the enemy of the American people and a friend to radical environmentalists of all types.
Oddly enough, the behemoth that is the Environmental Protection Agency may be the easier to defeat as they, like any federal agency, are dependent on Congress for funding. They could be starved into submission by a Conservative Republican Congress with courage and conviction.
The California agencies may be tougher because they are solely funded by fines levied against unwary contractors, property owners and businesses. They are virtually autonomous, setting policy as they see fit and, in the case of the California Air Quality Board, fake science and cooking the books on the phony science that they had derived from someone else’s fraudulent research. These goofball goons don’t even exist in the same universe with the rest of us.
It should be readily apparent to all that if California is to recover from its current tailspin something has got to be done to change the environment for businesses here in this state.
Have you registered to vote? Has everyone in your family been registered? Tell everybody you know that this is the most important election of their lifetimes.
Four weeks and counting…
Some years ago, there was a television ad for a well-known brand of Dutch beer that claimed it “reached parts other beers cannot reach”. It could be a good election slogan for the Democrats.
Historically, the party has appealed to the dead voter, with great numbers of the deceased temporarily slipping out of the sarcophagus to visit the polling place. One would think that they would have had enough of politics while in the mortal world. Perhaps they can see a kindred spirit in the Democrats, the difference being that they refuse to lie down despite being dead in the water.
In gratitude for this electoral service, the government has given them $18 million of stimulus money, with 72,000 deceased each receiving $250. A further $4.3 million went to 17,000 prison inmates.
Mistakes happen. As someone I know is likely to say, “That’s why a pencil has an eraser on the other end”. Two things are worrying about this issue, though. The first is the apparent lack of checks carried out before parting with large amounts of taxpayers’ money. A recent CBS ’60 Minutes’ featured an article on a Medicare scam which has cost the taxpayer $60 billion… non-existent pharmacies billing Medicare for prescription drugs.
We all know that a vast percentage of stimulus money has been going to the wrong places when, if it had to be implemented at all, it should have been used in the form of tax breaks to support new and existing businesses and industries which are the mainstay of the American economy.
The other point of concern is that the government does not seem to know who is alive and who is dead, who is free and who is incarcerated… or even who has genuine citizenship documents and who does not. If the news reports are correct, it took the Social Security Department at least three years to notice something a little ‘hinky’ in Nicky Diaz’s credentials.
The US should have the most sophisticated government computer systems in the world. It certainly has a huge, ever-growing percentage of its population working for government. These two factors combined should make serious errors more rare, rather than the regular occurrence they seem to be.
I hope the security agencies’ due diligence is a little more advanced. It’s bad enough having them mess with people’s tax money, even worse to risk the security of the country.
The usual pre-election flurry of facts, figures, statistics and predictions are being hurled at us from all directions. From demographic and racial groups’ preferences to the likelihood of hamster owners voting Republican or Democrat… most angles are covered in some way or another.
I pity the campaign organizers who have to dissect all this information in order to target the areas and groups where they have less support. Let’s see… we need to concentrate on mixed-race, Lexus owning, Mac using, CSI viewers with a subscription to ‘Gardener’s Weekly’. Well, I exaggerate a little, perhaps.
Pollsters remind me of the addicted gambler, who regularly boasts “I came out $1,000 up this week”, without mention of the $5,000 they lost the previous week. The electorate is, for the most part, fickle. Take out the group of us that would never, save for a severe blow to the head, vote for the other party. What you have left is a large percentage that can be swayed right up to the last minute before entering the booth.
This is precisely the group being targeted now by the Democrats in their last-hour smear campaigns. I covered the Meg Whitman story in some detail yesterday, so I don’t intend covering the same ground today. By leaving these attacks so late in the game, it gives little time for the victim to react and vindicate themselves. One poll this week showed Meg’s percentage dropping, although it was claimed that this was not due to the actions of Attorney Gloria Allred, at the behest of person/s yet unknown. Can I really believe that?
With nothing of substance on which to campaign, other than failed policies and a total disregard for the wishes of the majority of Americans, not to mention the fact that one piece of legislation they did get through, by unscrupulous means, was arguably the most unpopular in modern history, they are left with two options. One option is the personal attack / smear campaign. The other is to appear more centrist in their ads.
I have seen several lately which declare the desire to restore the economy, create new wealth and jobs, to put America back at the top where it belongs. Gee… I could vote for that guy. But… wait a moment… Isn’t that the Democrat who voted for the stimulus, the health care bill, opposed the surge, voted for cap-and-trade?
The sad fact is that many voters will fall for these benign-looking candidates, with no idea of their true agenda or ideologies. A recent survey showed that 65% of people questioned could not name one Supreme Court Judge. With a total lack of political knowledge, what chance do they have of disseminating the truth from the lies in these campaigns?
Instead of filling our youngsters’ heads with prophecies of doom through man-made global warming and Marxist historical revisionism, it’s time that they were taught the real truth that is the Constitution and American political history, that these video confidence tricksters’ true intention is to take the country down a path that has failed in every single nation that has tried it.
Only then will we see the opinion polls fluctuate less wildly.
It’s a little early for Oscar nominations, perhaps, but the performance of Nicandra Diaz Santillan should be worth consideration. More commonly referred to as Nicky Diaz, she was employed as a housekeeper by California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman.
Diaz and Allred
A lot of things don’t add up in this case, or rather, they do make sense if you assume the worst in people’s character. A claim for $6,210 should be dealt with swiftly by the local small claims court, or even by Judge Judy if the parties involved want their fifteen minutes of fame. Not this time, however.
Diaz is represented by top Hollywood lawyer, Gloria Allred. Given the financial hardship claimed by Ms Diaz, it was really good of Allred to take on a legal aid case. Yeah, right! So the question is, who exactly is financing this court action?
Jerry Brown and entourage have denied any knowledge of the issue. This could be true, giving them the benefit of doubt. The Democrats and their affiliates move in mysterious and nefarious ways. It’s been no secret that their muckrakers have been active for months, trying to uncover the smallest detail that could be used in pre-election smear campaigns.
Like the bumbling Inspector Clouseau, their detective work has come back to bite them on occasions… the false accusations against N. Carolina’s Buck Newton being a good example. The liberals’ gumshoes could well have kept their actions unknown to Brown, lest he be known as a liar should the truth be revealed.
While Diaz claims that nobody ‘held a gun to her head’, while wiping away the tears (what is that stuff they use in Hollywood on their fingers?), I get a feeling that her bank balance will soon be far more healthy, and her poor family, to whom she sent a portion of her $23-an-hour wage, may be more comfortable.
The left are trying to vilify Whitman in this affair, even though she, and the employment agency, had seen what they thought were genuine legal documents. They really have to make up their minds on this. Are they annoyed that Meg released Diaz from her employment on discovery of the fraud (defending the illegal immigrant criminal, as they usually do), or that she was taken in by a con artist?
It really defies belief that any good, honorable Americans could vote for a party who, by their behest, instigate election tactics that would befit the world’s most corrupt political systems.
As for the real guilty party in this sordid affair, I’ll finish with this extract from an article by Ronald W. Mortensen, the entire content of which is here:
“First, will law enforcement authorities and ICE pursue Nicandra Diaz-Santillan for the felonies she has committed, or will they give her a total pass as they do with virtually all illegal aliens who commit job-related felonies? The smart money says that they will do nothing – as usual.
Second, just how credible is Diaz-Santillan’s assertions that Whitman cheated and mistreated her? After all, she apparently constantly lied about her immigrant status to her employer for nearly a decade and she shows no remorse for what appears to be a long history of committing major, employment-related felonies.”
Barack Hussein Obama is on the campaign trail again, while many of his party members are looking for rocks to hide under. Obama never stopped campaigning. The difference now is that even the slavish leftist press has had stilted commentary on Obama’s handling of the nation’s economy.
Obama’s intentional destruction of our economy will certainly succeed unless we stop it. Do you want to see the true Marxist Mr Obama? Do you want to see what this country would look like under the gentle tutelage of the Anointed One?
Look south. Your gaze doesn’t have to go any farther than Venezuela and the Benito Mussolini of the banana-state set, Hugo Chavez. Hugo is busy gobbling up private assets and defying anyone to gainsay him. It wouldn’t be so bad if Hugo confined his activities to Venezuela, but for his recent adventurism into fomenting and aiding rebellion in neighboring Colombia, and his active participation in aiding terrorists trying to make their way north.
Even though Chavez lost seats in the recent elections, he just stuck his Mussolini jaw out there and said that it would only make him more determined to radicalize the economy… against the will of the people. Who does this sound like? If you said Barack Obama, you win. They’re just exactly the same. One petty dictator modeling another.
Obama is having trouble getting anyone to listen to him. But then, he doesn’t say much he hasn’t said before. This November you’ll have the chance to finish this nonsense, or rather the first phase of this nonsense, and returning this country back to a Constitutional Republic.
We have a really savvy bunch of readers. They really get it and they don’t need my, or anyone’s, prompting to carry the banner of Conservative patriotism forward.
I don’t even know how many sites we’re on but it’s a lot, and then we get picked up from there by other outlets. We get mail from some of the most unlikely places, and we get a lot of comments. Most of them do get read. Dee’s really good about that. Sometimes there are just so many that we can’t get to them all.
Recently, there has been a shift in the comments we’ve been getting. Up until now, the clarion call has been for victory against the DeMarxist government, with not a little flavor of vengeance against politicians of either party who have conspired to bring down America. Now there’s increasing interest in the post-election makeup of the new Conservative Republican Party and how it’s going to perform in a post Pelosi-Reid environment.
There have been many thoughtful comments to the effect that the incoming Congress will be the most scrutinized in history. What we’re getting, in comment after comment, is that no one intends to allow a Republican Congress to run off the rails again.
We have some really great rising stars in the Conservative Republican movement. There will be a whole bunch more coming to Washington after the elections as well.
We can anticipate the worst out of the DeMarxists between now and the elections. What we really have to be prepared for is that it’s quite likely that the DeMarxists may choose a scorched earth policy, where they attempt to enact the portions of the Obama agenda that hasn’t been able to move through the Congress due to skilled Republican resistance.
If Democrats choose this all-or-nothing approach, it will be an open acknowledgment of the open contempt with which they hold you, the American citizen. It’s time to do it right. These Marxist liberals have got to go… period. They must be hounded from government no matter where they may have burrowed.
Come to think of it, it might not be a bad idea to start up the House Un-American Activities Committee again. They just might want to start with Hillary’s Foggy Bottom… not Hillary’s bottom, Foggy Bottom. Our State Department has been a hotbed of anti-American and anti-semitic activity for sixty years or more. It needs to be cleaned out once and for all.
One thing is for sure, there is no lack of work to be done… now or after November 2.
So says the most prestigious Iranian Intelligence apparatus. So, move along, there’s nothing more to see here… all is well.
I’ve always admired the Israeli ability to dissemble, when it comes to secrets. More often than not, the results are all that could be asked for. Israel very seldom tips its hand openly concerning anything, much less national security matters.
I had been aware that the Israeli Defense Forces, the IDF, had been developing some sort of military cyber-warfare capability in conjunction with the US for some time. It makes perfect sense, the two most sophisticated cyber brain trusts in the world team up to make Iran sit up and think about a few things.
I’ve stated several times before, Israel is never going to do what you expect she will. I was surprised, like everyone else, when Israel launched Stuxnet, a burrowing, self-replicating, self-mutating worm, launched specifically at military-industrial control systems. Iran wanted to keep quiet about the worm’s ravages, but was forced to go public and ask for help from the world at large.
Iran’s intelligence service then issues a statement saying, in essence, ‘we’ve caught the bad guys and all is well, there’s no damage’. The truth is that the worm was already well established in some thirty network systems, then it went off… and off… and off. Not only did it replicate itself with lightning speed, it mutated as it went… making stopping it very problematic.
Is this the first round in the drive to take out Iran’s nuclear threat? This is as good a place to start as any. Cyber attack or no cyber attack, Iran still has to be faced. Iran is a mortal threat to Israel and the whole world if not checked.
Our timid President Barack Hussein Obama doesn’t have the gonads for it, that’s if he could ever see his way to making war on his Muslim brothers.
Whoops… did I say that?
