Let It Rot Until The First Week In January.

While the president is sneaking around making appointments behind Congress’s back, the 111th Congress will not go down in history as one of the worst in the history of this country, but as the worst Congress that ever darkened the halls of government, with their drive to push our already staggering economy over the edge, to complete the destruction started with their manipulation of the sub-prime mortgage market that precipitated the entire mess to start with.

True to their Marxist ideology, this lame duck Congress is continuing to write and pass harmful and highly questionable legislation right to the bitter end, when most of them will be able to ride off into the sunset without fear of retribution for the illegal and patently unconstitutional activities of which they were a part. Most, but not all.

Conservative Republicans are going to be asking many very pointed questions on a wide array of issues. I imagine paper shredders are working around the clock in the Capitol just now, as the Marxists attempt to cover their rears. The Republicans should do absolutely nothing until the cavalry arrives on Jan 3. Let’s hope the leadership listens to these fresh, intelligent, patriotic members who have sworn to return the United States of America to her status as the greatest Constitutional Republic in the history of the world.

Put another way, Republicans had better listen. It is they, these freshmen Representatives, who hold the mandate of the American citizen, not the establishment party who, even in the face of the overwhelming message of the election, act like they are right back to their old stunts again.

I hope I’m wrong. We don’t need a battle for the soul of the party as we’re focusing on ending Barack Obama’s dream of an American Caliphate.

Liberty Rising.

As incredible as it seems to anyone even remotely of conservative mind, we watched the insane race of the 111th Congress to cause as much permanent damage to the country as possible before the lame-duck session ends, or the Halls of Congress empty with members leaving the Capitol to be with family and friends for Christmas and the New Year. We should be grateful for that much, I guess.

In the beginning... January 6, 2009.

We need to illuminate the part that Republican RINOs played in the successes the DeMarxists have achieved in this lame duck session. These people can now officially be targeted for challenge and removal. Can we do it? You bet we can. That’s the other thing that drives me nuts about the DeMarxists, the RINOs and certain really thick Republican hidebound elites… they just don’t get it.

The reason and, by the way, the sole reason that the Republicans took back the House of Representatives was the Tea Party patriot movement. We sprang like the phoenix from the ashes of our American economy to totally dominate the political scene of the 2010 elections.

That the patriot movement has this sort of punch can no longer be in doubt… ask the eighteen ‘moderate’ Democrats who voted with Obama and his Marxists. They’re no longer around.

We have told the Republicans that we will not take our eyes off of them for a second. If anything, we have to watch our own much more than the enemy. It’s a sad truth that our own have sold us out more times than I can count. We will not permit this country to slide into the abyss of perpetual poverty and penury that is the hallmark of totalitarian socialism.

Citizen patriots are still flocking to our movement. It’s truly a magnificent phenomenon, witnessing liberty rising.

Why The Divisive Democrats Must Go.

This will be my last article before the mid-term elections, only six days away now. Skip and I have swapped days due to our work commitments and he will be writing Saturday’s article. While mentioning ‘the great eagle of the blogosphere’, he has stated that these elections could possibly be the most important… ever. I concur with this viewpoint and recent campaign events have further underlined this fact.

The 111th Congress has been one of the most unpopular, if not the most despised, in history. A recent Harris poll gives them an approval rating of 11%, hardly a good position for incumbents at election time. Their public approval has followed a consistent downward path, accentuated every time they instigate or enact some measure that is both intrinsically alien and unacceptable to the majority of the populace.

Eighty per cent of Americans identify as conservative or centrist. It’s not surprising that the attempts of the President and Congress to impose heavy-duty government control and regulation, à la European Union, is not well-received. This is not the EU, where the public has been molded to accept the nanny-state attitude where ‘government knows what’s best for you’.

The attempts to create a socialism-based country in the face of overwhelming opposition by the people serves to prove one undeniable fact. Obama and his followers (not to mention his Marxist mentors) are only concerned with the fruition of their ideologies. To them, the collapse of the American economy, increased unemployment and the removal of individual freedoms are a small price to pay for the realization of their dreams.

The reaction by Obama, a result of mounting pressure on the Democrats in the closing days of the campaign, are reinforcing this theory in the most hideous of ways. Historically, one of the strategies of all dictatorships is purposeful divisiveness… the promise of reward (often not fulfilled) to supporters and the demonization of opponents.

Obama has never accepted any responsibility for failure. From day one he blamed the legacy of George Bush and the effects of the last Republican-controlled Congress, a whole four years ago. After the lampooning of opposition politicians he shifted his focus to conservative media. His fixation with Fox News could only be described as an obsession… not a good thing for a supposed national leader.

By the time of the mid-term elections, he has a hit-list of ‘enemies of the state’… Republicans, Conservatives, the Tea Parties, all conservative media, man-made global warming skeptics (especially if they are highly qualified on the subject), anyone who attempts to uphold immigration laws… well, need I go on further? Not only are these folks mentioned in his auto-cued ramblings, they are usually the targets of the obligatory false accusations, name-calling and, as in the case of Arizona, legal action.

This week, Obama made an astounding comment to Latinos, urging them to, quote, “punish our enemies”. He was, of course, referring to every person who does not vote Democrat. With his continued alienation of Americans, Obama and company are left with the support of socialists, a large percentage of the black electorate (perhaps less after the NPR incident) and a smaller than anticipated number of Hispanic voters. He can take solace in the fact that he may have the support of many dead voters and illegal aliens, plus some hinky electoral procedures!

A president who regards the majority of his people as enemies, while avoiding the use of the word to describe those that would see the destruction of the United States of America, can not be allowed to continue in office. Yes, this probably is the most important election of modern times. We must re-take Congress next week, en route to replacing Obama with a president who puts the American people first, above all else.
We are not going to “sit in the back”. From next week, we will be in the driver’s seat!

Sunday Lunch.

Has Skip’s editor decided to take a break from politics by publishing recipes? Or maybe it’s the announcement of a new weekend magazine program? No, we couldn’t compete with the excellent Chris Wallace and FNS.

Last Sunday, I thought I’d partake of some lunch in the staff restaurant. I’m not a huge fan of British-style cooking. As Michael Savage exclaimed, when he discovered his inclusion on the ‘banned from Britain’ list, “Darn! And I was just planning a trip to England for their superior dental work and cuisine.” I know the feeling, Mike. Unless you have a preference for large quantities of pastry and batter, or large liver-based meatballs, the name of which I can’t reveal here without alienating a large percentage of San Francisco residents, there isn’t much going for it.

You can always play safe and request a burger, which often results in the query “Would you like it in a bun?” Uh, yeah. I’d like bread on my sandwich, too. Anyway, Kath Toms does a mean Sunday roast, so, as a change from my usual diet of Tex-Mex and Italian, I thought I’d indulge.

There have been many tales throughout history of people ‘seeing’ things in the most unlikely places… Holy apparitions on a slice of toast, for example. When I looked at the contents of my plate, I could see much of the recent history of the 111th Congress.

There was the pork. We have had plenty of that. Stimulus packages crammed full of the stuff. When questioned hard enough about it, they’d trim off some of the rind in a feeble attempt to make it more palatable. I guess you could call it ‘cured pork’.

The stuffing was the bulk of the 2,600 page health care bill, which, by their own admission, the perpetrators had not even bothered to read.

I was surprised to find that Brussels sprouts are still on the menu. With the amount of digestive methane production that these little green legumes are responsible for, it’s surprising that they have not been outlawed by the enviro-nazis. They will probably soon be the victims of the preferred liberal tactic of ‘education’ (see video). Be prepared for your little ones to severely reprimand you for serving them as part of a meal (“My teacher says all the polar bears will die if we all eat Brussels sprouts”). I guess we could circumvent it by purchasing some carbon tax credits!

None of this would be complete without the roast potatoes, which is precisely what the incumbent Democrats will be this November 2. We have to turn up the heat on them. They are resorting to the most desperate of measures to save their skins now, with unfounded, unscrupulous attacks on Republican candidates.

We can not allow people who accept lies as an acceptable part of government to control the country. They have had their meal, now let’s give them their just desserts!
