The Markets Do The Talking.

Obama really wants your money… that’s where his idea of ‘balance’ comes from. Can’t call it what it is, taxes… no, that wouldn’t do… ugly word, taxes… doesn’t sell very well. ‘Balance’, now… well, that’s just a hop, skip and jump from ‘shared sacrifice’, that old Clinton standby.



Taxes… that’s it. That’s the whole game plan. Your money, his distribution. He likes that. He loves spending money, as a matter of fact he’s already throwing more government goody ideas out there through his statist media outlets. New and improved unemployment extensions. More ‘shovel ready’ jobs that will go only to unions supporting ObaMao and the DeMarxists.

Raising the debt limit has given Obama another huge slush fund which he will use to full advantage against us. He’ll pump millions of our kids’ money into freedom loving organizations like SEIU and ACORN (in all of its new manifestations) who in turn use, as it has been proven, highly questionable and outright illegal methods in voter registration and in funneling unqualified voters through polls. These people are his foot soldiers. They don’t worry much about legality and some of the SEIU thugs have roughed up people, usually smaller or weaker than they are.

Billions and billions of dollars going into the coffers of the enemy, mostly because of the outright cowardice of the Republican leadership. Every single representative and senator who voted yes on the debt sellout had better have some pretty convincing reasons for doing so. Those that are trying to avoid their constituents, by not holding town hall meetings during this congressional break, need to be tracked down.

Look up your representatives’ home district offices and pay them visits. Be respectful. No one listens to obnoxious people. I said ‘respectful’… I didn’t say to be a door mat. You’re angry and you have every reason to be angry, and it’s okay to tell them so in a reasonable manner. That berserker stuff is strictly for the Marxists.

It’s just like last November, we’re just starting a little early, that’s all. Judging by the increasing number of people who write that they hadn’t been inclined to be activist until recently, we are on track for another astounding win. It’s up to us to put solid constitutional conservatives in office. It’s also up to us to punish those lawmakers whom we judge to have not performed the tasks we set for them.

Obama’s job approval ratings came out today. The markets have spoken. Apparently, they see much more clearly than Washington does what an unmitigated disaster these fool politicians have created for us.

Forced Austerity.

Does anyone remember that most of President Franklin Roosevelt’s ‘new deal’ was overturned by the courts and strongly opposed by Congressional Republicans, and not a few Democrats? They faced the ugly truth back then. Throwing government into any issue only results in making any problem infinitely much worse.



Roosevelt’s redistributionist-socialist ideas only resulted in extending the depression by an extra ten or so years. There are some who claim, and not without some justification, that we actually didn’t come out of the depression until the consumption boom of the late forties and fifties… citing the large numbers of men who came back from World War Two who couldn’t find jobs in a peacetime America. It was the Roosevelt administration who sold us a bill of goods, about the greatest Ponzi scheme the world has ever seen.

This monstrous unfunded liability has had tax revenues stolen from the ‘Social Security Fund’, virtually from the beginning, by greedy, unprincipled politicians seeking to increase their own power. What we have with the Obama administration and Congress is nothing more than the Roosevelt New Deal on steroids.

Our new Conservative Congress will force austerity on a wildly out-of-control government by starving out the Marxists’ socialist programs by removing their funding. Hear that, Obama? We should go from there to the EPA and the FCC, and yank their funding as well.

The battle for the heart and soul of this great nation is only beginning. We can not and will not tolerate the leftists’ repeated assaults against the very fabric of our society.
Be warned… The American Patriot is on the march and will not rest until America is free of the taint of communism.

Britain’s Present Will Be Our Future Unless We Wise Up Now!

Watching the total anarchy playing out in London’s streets… An out-of-control, mindless mob of social welfare government-created clones, clamoring for more and more from a government which has no more to give. Which has had no more to give for a long time. We are witnessing the collapse of the classic nanny state.



Told that the government was going to have to raise school tuition fees, these ‘students’, as the ever cowardly lame stream press is calling them, are the direct result of government welfare cradle-to-grave entitlements.
It seems the police have been so neutered they cannot even protect the royal family any longer. A couple of those cretins came very close to laying hands on the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, who actually took a jab in the ribs from a stick… it could have as easily been a knife. How did the supposedly armored Rolls have a window open to start with and where were the security guys?

Then there’s the story that the street cops and the Prince’s escorts were on different frequencies. I think the government of Britain and its people have been on different frequencies for a long time.

The fact that these mindless, vicious anarchists are being directed cannot be discounted. An experienced crowd control guy can pretty much pick out the agitators and the organizers. I no more believe that these riots are spontaneous than that the moon is made of Brie.

But they sure can be instructive as to what we can expect here in this country if we don’t seize history here and now, and change the course that Barack Obama and his Marxists have tried to put us on. I’m with Larry Kudlow on this. The ‘tax cuts’, which are in fact not cuts at all but just a reprieve from the steeply increased income taxes foisted on us by Bill Clinton, are the necessary fuel to get small business going again.

I remember those taxes…they hurt badly. Larry’s calling the tax plan a good start to get business moving again, and he’s right. It’s significant that Barack Obama had to bring in Bubba to explain why raising taxes, in an already disastrously weakened economy with people unemployed for years, with homes and businesses being lost, might not be such a good idea.

The left is howling mad. They feel the country slipping from what they thought for sure was the fast grip of socialist penury. You want to see what that would look like? Look at Europe.

The left is blind to anything outside its ideological focus. The complete and virtually universal American rejection of socialism and all it stands for has blindsided them. They’re lashing around like a beheaded snake… but no less dangerous for that.

Obama – Seventeen Minute Rambling Diatribe To Answer Tax Question.

It sounded like a 3000 page reply to a simple question from a ‘worker’, you remember that word… it’s a favorite of the left. If this was a set-up it was a good one. The question was bluntly placed and Obama launched into a seventeen minute ramble that somnolized everyone in hearing range. Sounding like a caricature of his campaign, he went right into his sales pitch selling the bill over and over. Why, if this wonder of blind legislation was so wonderful, are they having so much trouble selling this pile of garbage to their own base?

Unless that woman was a plant placed there so that Obama had a platform from which to launch his meandering reply, Obama showed to all and sundry that once again, without his canned teleprompter gig, he’s disconnected and repetitive. This guy simply is not that good off the cuff… and when he gets off the cuff he gets out of there in a hurry.

The problem with lying is that every time you tell it it’s just a little less effective, and by now pretty much everyone except the hopeless Kool-Aid crew has, or is figuring out that, this thing is a vast smoke and mirrors snake oil. He’s a one man medicine show with plenty of Dr.Feelgood to pass around.



The problem with what he does is that he can never actually answer a direct question because if he told the truth he would have to say something like, ‘Hell yes, I’m raising taxes. I’m putting us farther in debt than all of the administrations in the history of this Republic combined. I’m going to tax you, your children and their children higher than any US government in history… and we’re going to curtail your freedoms in the process because we can’t have you making your own decisions. You might decide that you have a right to the labor of your hands or the intellectual property of your brain’.

We have one chance to stop this and turn it around… and would somebody please tell the damned dummies in the RNC to get their act together quick!! Or get out.
We’re not putting up with that weak-minded sort of sidewalk act any more.

Obanostic… Bohica – Bend Over, Here It Comes Again!

To paraphrase Sarah Palin, “How’s that hopey changey thing workin’ out for ya?”
Mr ‘No family making less than 250,000.00 dollars will see a tax increase’.. ad nauseum. Now Mr Presidential Chameleon has come up with another mind-torturing shape change. Our wonderful leader has discovered that he is ‘AGNOSTIC’ to tax increases for the “middle class”, whatever his definition of that may be this week.

Our nouveau deficit hawk is fresh from his most recent bi-partisan entrapment attempt, complaining that the Republicans didn’t want to come out and play. Obama was seeking political cover for his latest money pig-out, asking for EIGHTY BILLION dollars for ‘jobs’. If you’re a Democrat you know you’re in trouble when one of your own statist media organs (AP) looks at your ‘jobs’ bill and says it won’t create many jobs.
Knowing that the Democrats were only too happy to set them up as being the party of ‘NO’, the Republicans neatly sidestepped the ploy.

The ‘tax’ cut provisions of the bill were something that would only appeal to someone who had never worked in the private sector, run a company or had to make a payroll. Therein lies the rub for Obama’s administration. There simply is no one to tell them ‘heck no’, it just doesn’t work like that. Few, if any, people in the White House have ever held a private sector job and have little understanding of the economic engines that actually drive job growth.

Other provisions in the bill are more transportation make-work union paybacks, and possibly the only part of the proposed legislation that may have validity, further extensions of unemployment benefits for those who have been unable to find work. With a stagnant economy there are approximately six job seekers for every job out in the private sector. The only job growth has been in the public (government) sector which has a direct negative effect on private sector job growth.

Along with the tax increases, the administration is seeking cuts in spending for entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare… sure to be an extremely unpopular issue with the country’s seniors. A huge voting block that up to this point had been reliably Democrat.

Of course, a REALLY courageous leader and his party could find much of that money by removing many of the multi-layered and redundant agencies and bureaucracies which glut our government, and by reducing the truly insane regulatory burden being placed on American business.
Naturally, that would probably make too much sense. As would CUTTING TAXES. It’s easy, Obama.
You want to create jobs? LOTS of jobs? CUT TAXES.

The US And Socialism: A View From The Inside.

While I’m away with family today, I’d like to introduce you to the lady who pulls all the levers and oils the bearings that make this thing work. Doing a daily column is a lot of work and my editor Dee is the one who gets it all done. Here is her guest editorial.

Living in Britain for a number of years has given me a perspective on current US events that relatively few can claim to possess. Readers of Drudge Report may be familiar with the frequent links to UK news items from quality newspapers such as the ‘Telegraph’ and ‘The Times’ (the latter, incidentally, was originally called ‘The Thunderer’ in its early days – what a wonderful name!), along with some from the ‘knee-jerk’ papers, often called ‘red-tops’ due to their colored header background. According to a recent survey, there has been a huge rise in the number of American online readers accessing and commenting on these British sites.

So why the increased interest in the affairs of Blighty from over the pond? Apart from the obvious connections of friends, family and expats, along with the sometimes strained ‘closest ally’ relationship, I believe there is something deeper – something that could help to save the US.

Socialism and communism (someone once said that “socialism is communism in a hurry”) are newcomers to the American political scene, at least at Congressional and, dare I say it, Presidential level. If you’re not familiar with something, there is a tendency to let it play out and see what happens first. The naïve (and usually younger) voter may be blinded by these Utopian sounding ideas. The more wary amongst us, often older with longer memories, will look further ahead and further afield to examine the effects of socialist policies. British newspapers are a great place to start.

The biggest impact on the individual is the removal of freedoms, many of which form the basis of the US Bill of Rights. Let’s look at the First Amendment to begin with. While it is ‘acceptable’ to criticize the Christian churches or Israel, any public criticism of Islam could find you charged with anything from racism to inciting hatred, amongst various other public disorder offenses. This is in a country that fought valiantly in the twentieth century against the national socialists for the rights of Jews and other minorities, the nazi doctrine sharing much in common with that of jihad.

It was this freedom of expression that managed to get Michael Savage and Geert Wilders banned from the UK. The UK government finally backed down in the case of the latter. Well, it’s pretty difficult to ban someone from an EU country when they have a ‘free movement’ passport. That is, of course, unless the person commits a crime. Wilders’ only crime was speaking his mind, thoughts which the Westminster socialists did not like.

This hypocrisy of the left channels down to education, where establishments have been instructed not to liaise with Israeli institutions. Is that any surprise when there are Members of Parliament who openly support terrorist organizations like Hamas? George Galloway was challenged on this point a couple of years ago by talk radio host Rusty Humphries. When the questions got too hot to handle, Galloway called security to remove Humphries from the building. That of course sums up the attitude of a left-wing government – they are NOT answerable to the people.

Of course, control of the media is an important factor to the left (watch out for the fairness doctrine coming down the pike!).
The BBC, Auntie Beeb as she has been affectionately known in Britain, has become Nanny Beeb, the official organ of the nanny state. For decades, it was respected for factual coverage of news and current affairs. Its entertainment output was the envy of broadcasters worldwide, high quality period dramas being one of its hallmarks. While the quality of programing has deteriorated and its ‘factual’ programs become ever more left-leaning, the compulsory license fee (tax, basically) increases annually. For $227 a year, you can enjoy programs that espouse the dangers of global warming, the plight of Palestinians (but not the Israelis who were bombarded by their rockets), soap operas that make juvenile drunkenness and drug abuse look acceptable, not to mention children’s entertainment with not-so-hidden political messages.

I saw an episode of Doctor Who, produced by the BBC, on the SyFy channel recently. That’s not a misprint – they changed the name from Sci-Fi for copyright reasons! It involved the Doctor and his equally provincial-English speaking assistant (Oxford English is frowned upon these days, which is probably why people like Stuart Varney took their eloquence to the US) arriving millions of years in the future. When asked by his assistant how the Doctor knew that a building was a hospital, he replied “The green crescent, the universal symbol for a hospital”. Not a red cross, not a Star of David or the snake and staff, but a green crescent. This is only one example.

So what does the British taxpayer get for their hard-earned bucks? Those who decide to work, that is, rather than those who ‘play the system’ for welfare benefits, that can be financially better off than if they were employed. A police force that has no teeth, who might attend a 911 call “within an hour”, which is the standard control center reply. A police department that tells a supermarket manager (of my acquaintance) that their time was being wasted for attending a shoplifting incident. A system of law and order where a person can get incarcerated for a longer period for possessing a weapon in their home for personal defense, than a person who inflicts serious injuries on an innocent member of the public. Considering the fact that Britain is a ‘gun-free’ society, the rising number of shootings in public places is something to worry about. Proves the point that the bad guys will always get guns – leaving the innocent, law-abiding folks defenseless.

I guess it keeps the health service busy, what’s left of it. A gunshot wound would put someone at the front of the line, no mean feat when it can take three weeks to get a doctor’s appointment, a year to see a specialist for a serious shoulder injury (both of these are my personal experiences), eighteen months for cataract surgery, or years for hip surgery. I know a guy who hobbles around at work all day that has been waiting over two years for surgery. I have nothing but praise for the medical professionals that I have personally encountered. They are overworked, underpaid (especially when compared to their US counterparts) and sometimes even physically abused. But they are like the crew of a sinking ship – no matter how good their seafaring skills, if the hull is seriously flawed there is nothing on Earth that will stop it going down! Free health service? Hardly! More and more tax money is being pumped in every year, with nothing to show for it. You’ll see soon enough with Obamacare.

There you have it, folks. A little taste of what is to come in the Socialist States of America. Enjoy what freedoms you have left while you can. Of course it can be reversed, in the US at least. The disease has taken root in Britain and people get used to it, it is all the younger generation have ever known. It would take a major revolution to change British society now and quite frankly there seems to be no-one on the horizon up to the job. The last hope, in the form of the Conservative party, seem more interested in kowtowing to the voter than upholding beliefs – their support of global warming legislation is testimony to that. The name Daniel Hannan springs to mind, maybe there are more like him who put belief before popularity.

YOU, the American citizen, CAN stop this slide towards total government control. The longer you let it slide, the harder it is to pull back. It might sound melodramatic, but if America is lost, all is lost. Rekindle the spirit that said NO to Britain in 1776, but this time aim your protests at the Capitol. Start by sweeping clean Congress in 2010. The choice is simple. Follow the British example, where the people work for the government – or make the government work for the American people. Keep reading those Brit newspapers, it will give you the impetus to avoid making the same mistakes!

Demarxists To Further Destroy Economy…Massive Tax Increases!!

There is nothing here for the ‘enlightened’ progressive class in this, except perhaps poetic justice of a sort.
They are about to be ground under the heel of an insatiable government in pursuit of a fanciful and totally unattainable poly-nirvana, along with the rest of us proles…or at least that’s how they see us. They just haven’t figured it out yet. Their heads are still stuck too far in the clouds, but reality is going to come knocking in a big way very soon.

This economic engine of ours is coughing and sputtering like a poorly tuned motor…and getting just about as good mileage out of the fuel which powers it. We’re not talking about the liberals’ other favorite mythical beast, energy, here. We’re talking about the greatest asset this country has. We’re talking about its people. We are talking about jobs. We are talking about an INSANELY obsessed government, totally and completely out of control, hell bent on destroying whatever economic power still resides in the people and the greatest driver in this or any economy, small business, entrepreneurship, and private investment.

The elite leftist is a creature of infinite contravention, espousing an ideology which by its very nature destroys that which produces the means that permits that intellectual disconnect.

The rest of us see things in a much simpler context. We see our homes, our children, our livelihoods, our savings and our futures threatened by an unresponsive, irresponsible and punitive government in contravention of the very laws that frame its scope of governance.
We have only the recourse left to us by the Constitution as a law-abiding people. At least for now. We have the ballot box and the ability to change the direction of the government and the country.

There IS a political sea-change taking place out there now, as an ANGRY and aroused citizenry become aware and educated to the depth and breadth of the betrayal of our trust by a rabidly left-leaning and TYRANNICAL CABAL within the highest reaches of our government.

There will be a huge reckoning in the elections of 2010. I don’t think the DeMarxists could moderate or change course now if they wanted too. They are like a truck on a steep grade which has lost it’s brakes.
Fortunately for us, they are about to run into the wall of the American people.
