Security It Isn’t – Lethal It Will Be.

ANOTHER magnificent performance by those masters of ineptitude in the White House and the Obama administration. I asked how in blazes the almost-successful skivvy bomber had not been placed on a terrorist and no-fly list (“It’s a Brave New World” Dec 27, 2009) given that his own father, a highly placed and influential Nigerian banker, had contacted US authorities (it now turns out to be twice) warning them about the radicalization of his son in Yemen. Not only that, but the British had yanked his visa and would not allow Umar Farouk back in the country.

What went wrong? Better to start by asking what went right…NOTHING. The list of spectacular failures is intimidating.
I’ve also written on several occasions that security (or the lack of it) is a top down issue. Hence, this MASSIVE hole in our country’s internal security has got to start and end with OBAMA. Naturally, his choice for Homeland Security Chief had more to do with hard left wing cronyism than a concern for the lives and the welfare of the citizens of this country.

Just so we all understand, I wasn’t any happier with the Republican leadership on this issue under George Bush. Realizing we had some ass-kicking to do after the inept and appeasement-rich Carter and Clinton years, George Bush at first seemed like a breath of fresh air after 9/11. At last, a president that got it! Or so I thought at the time. Turned out that he was just another big government Ivy League Republican insider, though with more gonads than Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton combined. Problem was, he couldn’t or wouldn’t control his own party which was then in the majority and when it came time he had to do so it was too late.

He didn’t really get it on home security either. Not where it counted. We got a lot of fancy sounding titles and mouthy platitudes, but eight years after he had been elected we STILL had no southern border fence. As a matter of fact, less than seven hundred miles of this TWO THOUSAND mile border is effectively under control to this day! George Bush’s cowardly knuckling under to the Mexican government, regarding the prosecution of Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, for shooting a convicted drug smuggler in the act of bringing several hundred pounds of drugs across the border was dastardly at best. Bushes ill-conceived outreach to the latino voting block, through a sort of soto voce approach to amnesty and the many Republicans who went along with it, was another of the BIG reasons we lost the House and then the Presidency, as this is as big a a third rail issue to Independents and Conservatives as the abortion issue is.

Janet Napolitano is so far out of her depth as to be frightening. An extremely weak selection, she was and is an open borders advocate. One cannot help but wonder how many thousands of actual terrorists have made their way across what is basically an undefended frontier.
The DeMarxists are about to make their big move on DEMOCRAT VOTER FOR LIFE AMNESTY for ILLEGAL ALIENS. El Presidente himself will spearhead this FELONIOUS effort.
We have a Home Security department more concerned with picking on blue haired grandmothers in wheel chairs than in possibly offending some obviously middle-eastern type because of the INSANE self destructive non-policy of political correctness.
We have our glorious leader coming out with pronouncement after pronouncement about ‘his’ concerns for security and safety ad infinitum…and not one word putting the blame where it belongs.

Until this government AND the people of the United States clearly understand that this is a world wide war of extermination by Militant Islam this sort of utter nonsense will continue and next time that detonator will not misfire.

It’s A Brave New World – Terror Attempt Won’t Be The Last.

First and foremost I’d like to thank Dee for a dynamite, insightful article. Judging by your responses I’m not the only one who thinks so. Dee will return from time to time with more perspective from across the pond. We have pointed out the horrors associated with the NHS (National Health Service) and the hopelessness of the people trapped in socialism over in Britain, which was once one of the proudest nations in the world on several occasions. It takes the perspective of one who has had to LIVE under such a regime to truly bring it home. Thanks again Dee.

President Barack HUSSEIN Obama was in absentia at any Christmas Eve services in Hawaii, not that I give a rip whether he attends services or not, but he IS the President of this JUDEO/CHRISTIAN nation and should at least make an effort to show leadership in this area and set an example for people of faith during these troubled times for our nation. Or should it have been a mosque…. just wondering. Even Billy Jeff did that much.

A pampered son of a wealthy Nigerian banker tried to murder 278 passengers aboard Delta flight 253 from Amsterdam.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab reportedly used a binary explosive device which failed to detonate and only started a fire which was quickly controlled. Fast thinking and reaction of passengers and crew in taking down the would be bomber and putting out the fire were credited with saving the aircraft. According to some reports the suspect had eighty grams of explosive sewn into his underwear and the detonating device taped to his leg, which was to have been set off by one of the binary compounds housed in a syringe. The passengers and crew can thank poor chemistry for their lives, as eighty grams of high explosive could easily have breached the hull of the aircraft. Had the detonator gone off instead of flaming out, chances are it would have brought the aircraft down over US airspace as intended.

Umar’s father, Umaru, reportedly contacted US authorities warning them of his son’s radical views six months ago. One cannot help but wonder why this man was not on a no-fly and terrorist watch list. He had previously been turned down for a visa extension to return to college in Britain, where he had attended school and was reported as an indifferent student.
So by the grace of God and the sloppiness or ineptitude of the bomber, another in-flight catastrophe was averted.

With an Obama administration more interested in appeasement and dealing with these international terrorist networks as some sort of annoying legal problem, instead of the world wide war against the west and Israel by militant Islam, we can expect much, much more of this type of terrorist attempt. As lame appearing as it was it may only be a diversion. From what, you say? No one knows, but one thing is for sure, things are never as they appear with these people.

Obama’s approach is Carter and Clintonesque at best… and we SAW what that got us. With his observed affinity for all things Muslim I just don’t trust this President to do the right thing to combat the threat. His pacification and appeasement can only lead to disastrous results for us and possibly the entire world.

How Low Can You Go? – In More Ways Than One – Obama Bows Again.

The Empty Suit strikes again. This time he’s bowing and scraping to the Chinese Communist Premier. Fresh from kowtowing to the Japanese Emperor and well-rehearsed, Obama doubled over for Wen Jiabao, again acutely embarrassing himself, though I truly don’t believe he’s smart enough to realize what a horribly huge gaffe this actually is other than the obvious – that no head of state bows to another head of state.

Doesn’t this guy have any handlers with any savvy at all, or are they all complete toadies and afraid to confront His Almightiness? Asians, and most of the world in fact, see subservience as weakness. That’s exactly how Barry Hussein comes off, as weak, ineffectual and subservient.
His denial of American exceptionalism. Apologizing for America being the greatest country on Earth for fanciful and fancied affronts. His image of himself is hip, slick and cool. Most of the rest of us see him as self-aggrandizing, vapid and ineffectual. His ideological drive to subvert the government, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the will of the American people, engenders a word I won’t use here but it starts with ‘T’ and ends with ‘N’. His popularity is dropping like a runaway elevator. He has a Congress scrambling for political cover and a Senate which is about to be launched into a major battle in the closing weeks of this year, with little or no chance of passage of a monstrous attempted enslavement of the American people by January.

Next year will be pivotal. A mid-term election year in which no less than a full third of the Senate face re-election. Having to face an ever more aware and even more angry and irate populace. Many will be wondering whether walking the plank for Harry Reid, whose own re-election bid is in serious doubt, or for Nancy Pelosi, with a less than 21% popularity rating, or a President whose every word is beginning to be seen as something to joke about, will be worth the price. For a price there will be.

2010 is shaping up to be a political bloodbath not seen since the unlamented days of Jimmy Carter, or the 1994 Contract for America introduced by Newt Gingrich only four weeks before the election.
This one is stacking up to be every bit as punishing for the DeMarxists. With the country staggering under unprecedented debt, a flat-lined economy which not even government book-cooking can make look good, and unemployment not seen since the 1930’s. And the only answer Obama’s goofballs have is massive taxation to ’somehow’ create jobs?

The electorate in this country is livid. They are boiling mad. But even worse for DeMarxists, they have become educated on the issues. They see through the hope and change and see changes they do not want and will not tolerate. The Democrats see the resurgence of a revitalized CONSERVATIVE Republican party and this frightens them as well. Because they well know that Conservative ideals and ideas work every time they are tried.
