More Political Circus From The Left.

I don’t know why we should be surprised. I called this one just between me and myself. Don’t recall if I said anything to Dee or not, but Wednesday’s disgusting usurpation of what had been billed as a ‘memorial’ service for the victims of Jared Loughner’s madness was just about what I thought it would turn out to be. I felt certain of it when I heard that the big Kahuna announced he was on his way out to the sagebrush from Washington.

It took on all the trappings of one of Obama’s rock-opera (mostly opera) performances, and looked a lot like a rehearsal for the campaign trail. They’ve pulled this same stunt so many times now that no one even pays attention, as is evidenced by the silence other than condemnation from the rest of the country.

They had T-shirts draped over each chair in the audience area well before the ‘event’ even started. It was held at the University of Arizona at Tucson, also evocative of the 2008 campaign, where hordes of enthusiastic but otherwise politically naive  college kids could be recruited, especially when lubricated by free rock concerts and beer.

It was a winning formula for the Marxists in the past. They turned the late Senator Wellstone’s memorial into political theater, about as cheap and tawdry as it can get. Gratefully, Arizona’s service didn’t quite plum the depths that Wellstone’s service did.

What it was, was a flare-lit example to the country that the leftists were more than willing to pile all this on the backs of the bereaved families and the others that were wounded. They’re not even being given the courtesy of mourning for their loved ones in private.

Will there be a backlash? Yes, but it will join the other backlashes, building like another groundswell across the nation as the Conservative Congress goes to work and the sides square off for 2012.
I say, bring it on!
