From Soup To Nuts.

Some of the most enduring images of the great depression of 1929-1939 are those of long lines of obviously beaten-down men in soup lines... hungry women and children with haunted eyes. Shantytowns sprang up all over the country, called Hoovervilles in mocking derision of the disastrous policies that engendered the crash and the even worse schemes which perpetuated the depression until 1939 and the advent of the Second World War.

Twenty five per cent unemployment... some eleven million three hundred thousand people lost their jobs, homes and farms, out of a pre-depression population of 120 million. Contrast that to today, with a population of over 312.8 million with some 27 million American workers no longer on the unemployment rolls. These folks didn't just fly to never-never land. They are the flotsam and jetsam of Barack Hussein Obama and his DeMarxists' living fantasies. It's that pesky hopey changey thing again.

Today, there are forty five million plus families dependent on food stamps in Barack Hussein Obama's 'Ameritopia' (thanks, Mark Levin). There are 15.7 million Americans officially out of work, despite all the DeMarxist spin to the contrary. In Barack Hussein Obama's America, one million one hundred thousand jobs were lost by women. So much for the Republicans' and Mitt Romney's supposed 'war on women'.

The true war is on all of America and, just like the depression, it was brought on by unsound monetary policies. The world's, and most specifically Europe's, economy was devastated after the First World War. It was U.S. money and U.S. know-how and determination that rescued Europe et al from the utter devastation that was World War Two, rather than leave them to the gentle ministrations of the Soviets and their slave states.

We cannot lift Europe from her own abject ignorance of viable economic policy. It has as much to do with the attitude of subservience that seems to be pervasive in so much of the continent. A relic of lingering feudalism, which we here in the United States rejected hundreds of years ago. They call it socialism now. We know it as communism light. It's antithetical to everything we believe here... at least the vast majority of us.

We've watched the DeMarxists attempt to destroy our republic with growing anger and resolve, which has translated itself to a nationwide movement dedicated to the removal of Barack Obama and all of his Marxists. It's becoming apparent to all but the most dedicated of the kool-aid crowd that Obama and the reds are in deep Kimchee. The tone around the Washville swamp is one of increasing desperation, as the Democrats assess the magnitude of the public's displeasure. Further, they cannot hide the dismay and confusion that's boiling out of the nation's capital these days.

It's not just Obama's crowd that's sweating it either... a look around at races across the nation will show that Tea Party candidates are winning, and winning big. The great RINO hunt of 2012 is well underway. All of the bought-and-paid-for votes of the Republican turncoats will be scrutinized, along with the Republican Party's limp-wristed and ineffectual leadership. There is much to be reconciled there as well. Americans deserve leadership responsive to the voters that they serve.

Article In Search Of A Title.

It’s not that I don’t have ideas for article titles. There’s certainly no dearth of material out there. Which, in part, brings me to the subject, which is that it doesn’t matter where I look, nationally, locally, or globally, events scream for attention. I want to fire off articles on each and every one of them.

We are living in very perilous times… far more perilous than most people realize. There is the imminent threat of war in the middle east. Despite Obama the Betrayer doing his very best to prevent Israel from acting in its own best interest (read ‘survival’) by attacking the country whose sworn goal is the destruction of Israel and the murder of every man, woman and child. Iran must be stopped. There’s no equivocating it. We know that Barack MaoBama, despite all the tough words around his mouth, does not have the courage or the leadership to attack Iran and end her nuclear ambitions. In fact, many feel that Obama would rather see Israel destroyed. Perhaps, so does Israel. And no, they won’t give us or anyone else warning.

Could you imagine entrusting the jihadist-penetrated White House with Israeli state secrets? Or the increasingly politicized panty-waist chair-warmers at Obama’s Pentagon? Obama recently reversed his order that denied Israeli access to in-flight refueling. It wasn’t for his love of Israel, you may rest assured. It may, however, give him an excuse to piggyback his way into the Iran affair and come riding in behind the truly massive US firepower concentrated in the Mediterranean off of Iran and the US troops reported to be staging in the area. He will then be able to boast  once again, taking credit for the efforts of others as he has so often done.

This nation has never been in as much real danger as it now finds itself. We’re in a daily war for the soul of our county against forces who would see us enslaved and our country in everlasting darkness. Sounds almost apocalyptic, doesn’t it? Historians are fond of citing stories of world-altering events. It’s what we would call 20-20 hindsight. It’s much scarier and more vivid when we’re living these events. It’s easy to imagine the fear and unease that must have permeated the lives of those living in Europe in the years just prior to World War 2.

There’s plenty of unease to go around here, in our country. We have a government in power whose only goal is the destruction of our way of life… with the unholy alliance between the avowed Marxists of Barack Hussein Obama’s government, the craven, unprincipled symbionts of the so-called main stream media, and the equally unprincipled labor unions to which Obama is beholden.

We have an ’economic recovery’ which is not. Academic theoreticians lauding fractional increases in unemployment and meaningless statistical nonsense while 44 million Americans have either dropped off the unemployment radar or are underemployed. American business is reeling from the absolute onslaught of Barack Maobama’s extra-constitutional regulatory oppression. Our energy sector and our military are equally under assault by our would-be dictator. Pretty grim picture, is it not?

We, as Americans, have the power to change this. Our focus, our only focus, has to be the defeat of the Obama Marxist machine.

Into The Shadow.

Have you ever wondered just what happens to all those people we keep reading about in the news, and in the government’s seriously flawed demography, who have just dropped out of sight in this depression? Yes… depression.

I’ve had it with the cutesy defining of a recession that in no way ended in 2009, as the politicians and their pet economic idiot savants claim. “Why, Skip” you say, “we had two quarters of positive growth in 2009″. Okay, and if you believe that math, I have some shares in Solyndra for sale for you, cheap.

Ask just about anyone in the great San Joaquin and Central Valleys here in California, agricultural regions that could have fed the world with their bounty, if the recession has ever ended. Ask them if they see anything on the horizon except more crippling regulation, taxation or punitive regulatory dictat from both the Federal Government and that runaway bunch of Marxist radicals infesting Sacramento.

There are pockets of chronic unemployment in some of those communities as high as 30% or 40%, with an average of a whopping 25%. A figure I found difficult to swallow until I heard them re-stated by some people in the valleys and by one of the few conservative lawmakers in California, Devin Nunes. I wish he was my representative. This guy is the real deal.

Parisian Rag-Pickers, by Raffaelli.

These people just don’t dry up and blow away… they don’t all end up on the welfare roles. What happens after the unemployment runs out? What happens to those who are not considered by an obviously out-of-control governance, more concerned with its own perpetuation than in the well being of its citizens?

They become the shadow society. Though they no longer show on the various statistics as actual people because they are assumed to have ceased looking for work when they run through all of the available unemployment payment extensions. They are out there. Okay, some of them will eventually find their way onto the welfare roles in one respect or another.

There are an unbelievable forty five million people on food stamps in America, undoubtedly our shadow people are among them. How many are there? 10-30 million? There are fourteen million people without jobs today. Those are just the ones we know about. Some few are the chronic homeless, a small group which would be about the same in an average economy, those addicted to alcohol or drugs or having mental illnesses who refuse treatment. Still an incredibly small number as measured against the whole.

The Shadow People have turned to a cash underground, barter, gleaner sort of life. You can see these people all over our city, by no means a great urban center, on the streets, avenues, alleys and lanes… searching for metal, cans, bottles and plastic that can be sold to recycling centers to provide a little cash. It brings to mind the rag-pickers and gleaners of 18th century England and France, when grinding poverty was the norm.

This is Barack Obama’s America. Is this what you want for yourselves and your families?
Think about it.

It Really Is All About Business.

This week we were shy of a couple of key technicians where I work. “So what?”, you say… “we all have to work short handed once in a while”. True, and no argument there. What is different, or more likely in Barack Obama’s America, what has sadly become the norm for many businesses is that we are all operating with reduced staff and management. This, in turn, makes the absence of key personnel felt much more in most organizations.

I just went through a week exactly like this one, hence no articles this week. No excuses, work is work and we’re damned grateful for it. The end results of the various cuts, layoffs, consolidations and downsizing has turned American business into a sort of survivors’ club.

We have been forced to fine tune our operations and hone our procedures to razor sharpness by the maelstrom of a decimated economy and the overbearing hand of a blatantly business-unfriendly statist regime, whose only accomplishment to date seems to be the ability to vomit forth copious volumes of repressive and regressive regulations and onerous enforcement burdens on an already overtaxed and vastly over-regulated private business community.

We have, without a single doubt, the greatest workforce on Earth. Don’t buy the bull bleep that America has seen its better days… get out of our way! That’s all… that’s all it would take to end this depression. Yeah, folks… zero job growth, in a now-continuous four year economic train wreck that is the Barack Hussein Obama government and its disastrous policies, qualifies as a depression.

We don’t see the stereotypical long soup lines of unemployed men as in the 1929 collapse and the resultant depression. We’ve had soup lines for many years inside the inner cities, the welfare state has seen to that. There is a minor industry that has grown up around ‘non profits’ that cater to homeless clients, distributing resources and helping to administer social services for homeless and impaired or addicted clients.

These agencies receive both private and public funds. So, we’re paying for keeping the homeless on the streets. Cute, huh? I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t witnessed it myself when doing emergency work at such a facility, and as such had access to a normally locked meeting room with a large white board showing all their funding sources.

There was no ‘safety net’ in 1929. No food stamps, no welfare checks, no public or ‘section eight’ housing. That may be why so many people are still bamboozled into thinking that the recession somehow died and that zero GDP growth is somehow acceptable.

There is no way that Obama, or any of his ilk, is going to sell anyone on any idea that this economy is not his alone. His excuses have all been heard and ofttimes repeated. Now he’s tried to upstage the Republican presidential debates and gotten his hand caught in the cookie jar by John Boehner, who despite all his warts as Speaker, showed a flash of brilliance in turning the ‘trap’ laid by Obama’s jolly jokesters around and depositing it where the Sun don’t go. It simply made Obama look like what he is… the spoiled petulant man-child.

If we want the economy to grow, if we want to see jobs, if we believe in the greatness of the American people… this man must be a one-term president.

Jerry Brown… Such A Clown, That Jerry Brown.

Another week of long days and longer nights. That’s okay by me, beats the hell out of not working. Makes it a little hard to write, though. First and foremost, our wishes and prayers go out to the folks on the east coast who find themselves in the path of Hurricane Irene. For heaven’s sake, if you’re in a position to get out, leave. I was in two typhoons when in the Pacific and south-east Asia with the Marines. I know that sinking feeling of realizing that you’re in the path of one of these monsters.

I wrote that last night just before I got called out again. The nation’s attention is rightly focused on the developing situation around Hurricane Irene. Maybe not with the punch the first worst-case scenarios forecast along with various exotic computer models, but still plenty dangerous and with the potential to cause immense damage.

Meanwhile, out here on the left armpit of the nation, it’s tough to say what came first, the chicken or the egg. Is Barack Hussein Obama modeling his brilliant economic strategy on our equally brilliant Jerry Brown, or is it the other way around? Sure looks to me as though they went to the same school of economics. Jerry Brown heads a state with an out-of-control bureaucracy with a radicalized legislature owned lock, stock and barrel by the environmentalists and the unions.

With an unfunded liability of over forty billion dollars, California has one of the country’s highest unemployment rates and one of the least business-friendly environments in America. Jobs, skilled people and businesses are fleeing the state every day. Jerry Brown’s answer… fortify union contracts, increase fees and scheme every way possible to find a way to tax California citizens, some of the most heavily taxed in the nation as it is.

Ol’ Moonbeam couldn’t get the expected sell-out support from any California legislators. He’s a bit miffed at that… so he has to go about loading generations of inconceivably bad management and governance on our shoulders by as much stealth, lying and prevarication as he can.

He and Obama… the ideologue and old-style Marxist. The only differences I see is that Mr Hussein Obama’s unfunded liability is about forty or more trillion dollars. He’s equally good at destroying jobs and commerce. Maybe better. His long-term goals for America are far more sinister than anything Jerry could come up with. But it matters little to people who are out of work because of the policies of these two and the respective governments they ‘lead’… um, bad choice of word. You get what I mean.

People in California are finally coming out of their weed-driven stupor long enough to see the tyranny present in our state. It’s certainly no sea-change. Not yet anyway, but people are beginning to pay a whole lot more attention, largely due to the really vibrant and activist California Patriot movement… and yes, they are Tea Party members.

Let’s turn the heat and the spotlight on these California legislators… these ‘public servants’ whose arrogance towards the people of California is beyond belief.

David Plouffe And The Hallucinogenic Pipe Dream.

I’ve been wondering if that paragon of White House fable fabrication may be on lysergic acid… obviously slipped into his cornflakes by a stealth Tea Party type bent on destroying the Wrong House narrative.

The spin just won’t fly any more. We keep hearing the misadministration’s grandiose statements, just chock full of loaded and misleading terminology. No matter how many times they bleat their Marxist diatribe, no matter how often they disguise their true intent with the language of obfuscation… nothing but nothing will put lipstick on this pig.

Mr Plouffe has announced, “People will not be voting based on the unemployment figures in 2012″. Excuse me while I say, “What?” What universe spawned people like Plouffe and the legion of Obama apologists? Wait! That must be the answer. It’s an alien invasion (another one) and they’ve taken over the administration… lock, stock and vacation schedule.

Eight million jobs lost since the Anointed One assumed his throne. I heard an outrageous statement by some brain-damaged hack that new layoffs had virtually come to a halt. This dude hasn’t been out to California lately, has he? We’re still shedding jobs and businesses at a frightening rate. He threw that desperate thread out there as a ‘comforting indicator’ of the ‘recovery’. Excuse me? I should do an entire article on that alone… great title opportunity, too… “The Recovery That Barack Built”.

Somebody convinced that poor boob that the government’s carefully massaged math was something other than pure fantasy. I guess we can’t be too harsh on poor old David, either… he’s got plenty of company.

Here it is, David. This upcoming election will very much hinge on employment… or far more likely, the lack of. You and the other minions of the Darkside are about to meet the American people… and we’re really sick and tired. But, far more than that, we’re mad… we’re more than mad… the undercurrent in the country is rage.

We have an enraged and highly-motivated populace who intend to see the moral, social and economic destruction stopped… and stopped now.
No more compromise, no more deals.

Another Barack Hussein Obama Achilles Heel In Waiting.

As if a 14 trillion dollar deficit, with his name and that of his party all over it, isn’t enough already. As if the House hasn’t zeroed in on: (a) The outright repeal of health care; (b) Dismantling its various components and provisions and starving more onerous items of funding to cripple them and keep them from harming the people or the economy.

Barack Obama has done everything just exactly as though he was driving our country into economic destruction. And it sure as heck looks to an awful lot of us out here that he’s done everything according to a scripted plan.

My guess is that the Democrat Marxists, in the first flush of victory after Obama was elected, vastly overestimated the political capital that the victory had afforded them. The Marxists in the administration and in Congress misinterpreted the 2008 election results. More importantly, they completely misread the mood of the nation.

One more Achilles heel out there awaiting Mr Obama is the energy sector of the economy. With rising gas prices and the threat of even higher gas prices by next summer, the specter of four dollar a gallon gasoline is not going to endear Obama to anyone.

There are tens of thousands of men who are not working because of Obama’s drilling ban. These men, their families and friends, the very communities that helped elect Obama, now detest him.
Obama may just find out that he has sold off so much of his political soul that there’s none left.

The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Wherever you live on the planet, the jolly red-faced gentleman, hitching up his pants around his portly frame, will have visited you by now. Er… no, I’m not referring to Barney Frank! The Christmas holiday is a time to chill out (or perhaps ‘freeze’ would be a better description, Mr Gore!) and try to forgive those that have done us wrong throughout the year.

There’s certainly a lot to forgive this year. The year started with the news that the number of long-term unemployed was the highest since official records began, back in 1948. While the country suffered the effects of high unemployment, low consumer confidence and failing businesses, the Obama administration was engaged in a war.

This was not the war in Iraq or Afghanistan, not even the generalized ‘war on terror’. This was their private war on Arizona. Forced into taking action at state level, due to the inaction of federal agencies, Governor Brewer was informed that her actions were unconstitutional. An amazing statement, given that the state legislation was, in most respects, a copy of the federal immigration policy.

The administration’s lame excuse was that it promoted racial profiling, even though the Arizona bill prevented such actions. This denial of the facts is the same as that shown by the powers granted to the TSA. Humiliate obviously innocent Americans with naked images and ‘sexual assaults’ (that’s what it is, folks), while allowing groups that are most likely of misdemeanor to conduct their own pat-downs.

Obama’s reluctance to comment on the folly that was the planned Ground Zero mosque was further proof of his fear of alienating his remaining support base. He knew that if he lost the support of the black, Hispanic, muslim and gay sectors (and, dare I say it, the illegal voters), his days would be numbered.

Never mind the unemployment figures and dying businesses – we can fix that with new, clean technology industries (Obama’s fixation with batteries); Don’t worry about the threat on the southern border – we’ll look at giving citizenship to the children of illegals; There’s no reason to be concerned about the spiraling federal deficit – we’ll introduce a VAT-style tax to give us more money for earmarks… after all, your money is the government’s money!

As the year approaches its end and we look forward to a new Congress in 2011, hopefully all this will will vanish like a bad dream… the nightmare before Christmas!

A Merry Christmas to our readers, from Skip and myself.

It’s The Economy, Stupid!

It’s an amazing thing to see. After Judge Vaughn Walker ruled just exactly as he had telegraphed he would, the resultant uproar was bigger than I even thought it would be. I wrote about this on July 5th and predicted an anti-DeMarxist reaction. I admit it, I was wrong.

People were far angrier about the judicial theft of the legal votes of Californians than I thought they’d be. Comments came in from around the nation from angry people who are getting more angry and more determined every day. If those in the gay movement think that this has gained them any friends, they may need to reassess their strategy.

It’s like this. We were really angry before the Judge Walker ruling. That anger was mostly against the left in general, the President, his Congress, and the rats nest of radical leftists that inhabit Obama’s administration. That the gays happened along with their suit at this time is unfortunate, because a lot of people who would normally be at least neutral towards gays and their issues will be painting them with a wide brush, as the country begins to backlash against all things liberal.

The gays, whether they like it or not, are going to get caught up in this. I don’t see it as advancing their cause any. Americans as a whole are opposed to gay marriage… overwhelmingly opposed. It’s not a referendum on homosexuality. It’s a referendum on judicial activism. The Supreme Court may have a lot to say about Judge Walker’s extravagance in interpreting the law and the intent of the Constitution.

The economy… that pesky non-existent economy, with no job growth outside the government or its unions. This miracle of leftist central planning lost another 131,000 jobs last month. We have Democrat members of Congress ready to launch desperate schemes involving legislating by regulatory fiat. They have a lot to account for.

It’s not hard to gauge the level of anger out there in the American hinterlands. With more than twenty million American patriots out there it's palpable. You can sense it in the air.

It’s way past time for all of you to get active about joining us and taking back our country.
I’ll tell it again and again. It’s your country… stand up and fight for it!

Eighteen Million Unemployed: Obama Blames Republicans.

Well, we saw this one coming. I, and other writers, have been warning the Republicrats in the Senate that their foot dragging on authorizing the sorely needed unemployment extension funds was going to come back around to bite them and, gee, what a surprise! Barack Obama made it the thrust of his entire radio broadcast to the nation today.

I warned that Republican stonewalling on this would position the DeMarxists to be able to control the message, portraying Republicans once again as heartless and uncaring about the plight of millions of their fellow Americans. Indeed, that is exactly what has occurred. Hey! Guys! We’re on your side, but you’re not making it any easier for us out here.

Instead of taking stands against things that would resonate with the American people, such as filibustering the nomination of the extreme leftist Elena Kagan, or, wonder of wonders, strongly opposing the ‘financial regulatory’ bill, which not one member of the House or the Senate has read or understands. Another thousand plus pages of job and business killing legislation, and the best the Republicrats can do is to oppose the only lifeline millions of Americans have, during the worst recessionary period in our history since the great depression. In fact, they would have a bunch of trouble convincing many Americans that it isn’t a depression.

A company here in the Bay Area has just been forced to go through a second wave of layoffs. This time they are laying off senior journeymen and production supervisors. These are the guys that produce the money. Another company has been forced to lay off some of their best and most experienced managers. Both of these companies are in areas that before 2008 were considered to be largely recession-proof.

No one wants to see a European/UK system of a permanent ‘dole’ for the unemployed. We’ve seen the effects of the welfare plantation system fostered by the DeMarxists. It’s also equally true, as I’ve written here before, that with rare exception unemployment does not make for luxury living… in fact it doesn’t even cover the basics in most instances. Few people look on unemployment as a vacation, unless they are living at Mom’s.

Spare us the pontification of telling us how extended unemployment benefits are an excuse for not looking for work. Tell it to one acquaintance of mine, with an excellent resume, who has sent out 400 plus resumes. Or another professional who has sent out over a thousand resumes, to generate a bare handful of interviews. There are over six point two people for every job opening out there.

The Republican leadership had best do some severe soul-searching. No one wants more deficit spending. But these are not normal times. The unemployment extensions have to be considered a lifeline in a time of great need. The Republican leadership could have picked many issues to stand on that the people of America would have backed them up on.

This is Barack Obama’s economy… it’s his insanely suicidal policies that are preventing job growth. His administration has not ‘saved’ (what the hell does that mean?) or generated 3.6 million jobs! The 300 ‘green’ jobs at a lithium battery factory were paid for lock, stock and barrel by your taxes. At last count, these miraculous ‘green’ recovery jobs cost Americans like you and me a bare 500,000 dollars per job.

Guess what else? China now controls the world’s market on rare earth minerals. These are mineral elements used in strategic materials. We used to have one of the best sources of rare earth minerals in the world, until Senator Diane Feinstein and the late Alan Cranston locked them all away in another DeMarxist environmental hatchet job, so that her husband, Richard Blum, could make sweet business deals with the communist Chinese.

The ugly truth is that well over fourteen million jobs have been lost and Americans need Conservative leadership that’s going to work for us, not against us.

Obama Trainwreck: Racism Reigns Supreme.

Sooner or later, the wolf in the sheepskin reveals its true character or, in the case of the Obamas, their lack of. Yes, we are speaking plural here… Michelle Obama is, if anything, a more strident racist than Barack Hussein.

NAACP President Ben Jealous has accused the Tea Party Movement of racism.

Meanwhile, out here in the real world… the one whose real unemployment rate is pushing 18%, where four out of five Americans can’t find enough work to feed their families and whose extended unemployment benefits have been curtailed by partisan bickering in the Senate, with DeMarxists insisting that unemployment be paid for as part of additional spending… some twenty billion dollars worth (big surprise).

Republicans, for their part, are not unaware of the urgency of the situation, as hundreds of thousands of unemployed have had their only source of income cut since June 12. They want the money to be paid for utilizing spending cuts. They have offered four separate compromises which have been uniformly rejected by the DeMarxists. So, while the Congress dithers and the Obama administration considers more ways and means to gin up racial tension in the country to rejuvenate their severely flagging base, far from uniting the country the Obamas have, by their every word and deed, shown themselves to be the basest of racists.

The crying shame in all of this is that it is so unnecessary. The Democrats and their race-pandering, welfare-peddling policies have tried, and in far too many cases succeeded, in placing minorities, in particular blacks, into the ‘new plantation system’. It is a dark and evil place, where the images of racism have got to be perpetuated in order to foster the requisite mental attitudes of victimization, helplessness and slavish dependence on government.

More than one million two hundred thousand American men have fought and died for freedom, from the Civil War to the present, to preserve and protect the very freedoms the race-haters take so lightly. Since Obama took office, the racial divide in this country has become more and more pronounced. From the institutional racists such as Eric Holder, Representative Maxine Waters, D-Los Angeles, to professional race haters such as the increasingly irrelevant Jesse Jackson and the never-to-miss-an-opportunity Al (Tawana Brawley) Sharpton. They crawl out of the woodwork at a moment’s notice, to stir the ashes of race and set them alight once more. It’s all they have. They’re a one trick pony and many minorities have come to see how empty their words, and how false the images they portray, are.

Barack Hussein Obama is a badly flawed and failed President with an administration in shambles. DeMarxist politicians are bailing out as fast as possible, to distance themselves as far from Obama as they can while they can. Americans won’t be duped any longer. Oddly enough, it’s been the racists themselves who have expiated the so-called white guilt. We’ve come full circle on the entire race issue now. We don’t owe you a thing.
Have a great life.

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs… No Jobs! Two Million To Lose Unemployment Benefits.

It’s one of those worst-case nightmare scenarios that every worker from Maine to Hawaii has been experiencing for more than two years now, with one out of five Americans unable to find work in Barack Obama’s wonderland and unemployment benefits about to end for two million unemployed by Saturday.

Once again Congress has descended into partisan bickering, as Congressional DeMarxists attempt to add more spending to existent legislation and Republicans insisting that any additional jobless benefits be paid for by reductions in debt. It’s the classic Democrat-Republican impasse, with the American people trapped in between.

Republicans are correct in doing everything possible to reduce the DeMarxist money juggernaut which is threatening to impoverish the country for decades to come. However, the active principle should be the welfare of the people who have seen their jobs lost, due to the suicidally unwise monetary policies set in place by both Democrats and Republicans.

It cracks me up when I hear hear sage ‘economists’ pontificating that Americans are using unemployment as an ‘excuse’ for not finding jobs. Having spoken to many people over the last two years who have found themselves in the position of having lost their jobs, I can assure you that few, if any, were using unemployment as some sort of paid vacation. With rare exception, unemployment doesn’t pay enough to live or support a family on… much less make mortgage payments. The continuing waves of foreclosures are mute testimony to this.

Any Conservative will tell you that the very idea of dependence on government is repugnant indeed. But these are not normal times… with the actual unemployment figures much closer to seventeen per cent, as opposed to the meek 9.6% the government claims it to be. Job losses are much closer to great depression levels than in any recession we’ve had.
Congress should set aside their differences on this.

Jobs Are Bustin’ Out All Over – Obama Said So.

The latest unemployment figures give the big lie to the DeMarxists’ oft repeated claims to job creation. People are getting very weary of the constant drumbeat of propagandized lies coming out of the administration. What is obvious is that the pace of job layoffs has not slowed. The government’s efforts at double and triple book-keeping, to make temporary census jobs look like a huge boost in employment, is typical of how Obama’s operation works. Real job growth has not gone anywhere but down. Obama’s punishing policies toward private business will not abate until we defeat the DeMarxists in November.

The government has grown itself by 400,000, while at the same time a worse than anemic 41,000 jobs were created in the private sector. Any rational economist, heck, anyone who stayed awake through high school economics would look at those two figures and see what an immense disconnect they really represent.
400,000/41,000. It looks for all the world like something we would have seen reported out of the old Soviet Union, not the United States of America.

After TARP… after the 800 billion stimulus… after Cash for Clunkers, which ended up costing taxpayers around $24,000 per vehicle turned in… after all of the other loser ‘programs’ with huge amounts of unaccountable money being diverted to interest groups and political cronies. Don’t they call that fraud?. I guess it doesn’t count if you’re a DeMarxist ‘friend of Obama’.

After all this, another 475,000 jobs have been lost so far this year. The home construction industry took another hit, after the artificially inflated figures supplied by the tax credit which was offered to home buyers expired with the program and those home sales cleared the books.

There are no jobs out there in a lot of fields. I know one guy in particular, who is well qualified in his field with an excellent resume. He’s sent out over four hundred resumes without a single job offer. There are some 900,000 people whose unemployment benefits will run out unless Congress gets its act together. These people want jobs, not unemployment, but right now it’s all they’ve got.

Analysts are beginning to talk about a double-dip recession, a grim prospect for a citizenry that’s been battered by two plus years of economic chaos. The farther we get towards November the more transparent Obama’s schemes become. I have a sense that Americans are waiting with bated breath… when the time comes to go to the polls in November, there is going to be a historic sea change. The American people will lead in taking back our country from the Marxists. We will then turn our thoughts to a one-term Obama.

Welcome Back, I Think.

First of all let me thank Dee, who aside from her own schedule and work on our site, found time to lend her considerable journalistic talents covering for me while I was off for a few days. I was out of touch for much of this week, so it was with great pleasure that I read Dee’s articles this morning. Her essay into the comparison between us and European/Brit socialism was, I think, a very instructive window on where this country is headed if we don’t stop it.

The news cycle ground on while I was gone and I’ve spent most of today just trying to make sense of it. It looks like there’s more of the administration’s bi-polar unemployment figures out there for us, touting a 260,000 increase in employment as evidence that the economy ‘has turned the corner’. This administration has used that same pitch now for over a year. Back then the stimulus was going to do it for us, remember? We had nothing to worry about because the Obama administration had it all under control. A year and four months later and we get a new econo-fantasy-a-day out of Obama’s government.

At the same time as they’re talking about a jobs increase they’re reporting higher unemployment. We are now officially at 9.9 %. The real figure is the one they don’t want you know. It’s the one that reflects the underemployed, as well as the unemployed who have given up and aren’t currently looking. That figure was 17.1% last time I checked. Some sources claim that that figure is much closer to 20%. If that’s true then we are much closer to depression era unemployment than anyone is willing to admit.

The country will only sink farther into this miasma, created by Obama and the DeMarxists, if we as citizens don’t step in and stop them.

Obama’s America… A Not Very Happy Place.

Obama has a very unhappy country on his hands. No matter how the DeMarxists and their ancillary lame stream media spin up the economy, no matter how many times they refer to ‘the recovery‘ with all the earnestness of the committed zealot, the problem is that there’s no ‘there’ there.

California Unemployment Rate (%). Source: Bureau Of Labor Statistics.

Everywhere, there are more and more lost jobs and word of more planned layoffs. California has just now hit 12.7% (that’s about 18% actual) and in certain areas it can be as high as 30%. This state is a Democrat created disaster. It’s a who’s who of what not to do with the economy of a state and its people. It’s a classic example of runaway governance and gross fiscal irresponsibility.

There are no droves of happy smiling construction workers busy on ’shovel ready’ projects, wisely parsing out the government’s largesse. There is only the wasted and missing billions of the stimulus that didn’t, seven hundred and eighty five billion dollars, most of which can’t even be accounted for. The waste in programs initiated by Obama and Congress has been monumental, as have been the failures.

The nation is much closer to the pulse of the economy than, say, two years ago. We had it good for a very long time in this country and to some degree we took it for granted. We used to have an average of around 5% unemployment in America. Much of Europe is chronically above 10%. The extreme taxes and anti-business policies in the European socialist countries have a depressing effect on business and commerce. I have a friend who lives in one of these countries who has told me that the welfare state where they live has families of several generations who have never had a job. The government over there knows full well that were all these people off the dole and out on the streets looking for work that doesn’t exist… well, there might be trouble. Better to shunt them off to the side under the opiate of social welfare.

We see indications of that here as the government extends unemployment payments time after time. It has proven to be a blessing for those out in the workforce who are unable to find work in a business environment that just is not hiring. Business America is holding its breath, waiting to see what Obama’s punitive policies are going to do to their bottom line. Some are evaluating whether to keep their businesses here or move them off-shore. Worse still, some small business people will find that they cannot continue in the current environment and will quit and move on. Other entrepreneurial minded people will choose not to invest in a punitive business environment. The cost of that could be huge… another Microsoft or perhaps a Hewlett Packard. That’s a huge tragedy for this economy and a huge loss for this country.

We have all the DeMarxist heavies out with the entire LSM trying the demonization route to discredit the Patriot Movement and tie us to the militias again. It’s the same ridiculous garbage that Bill Clinton and crew were throwing out back in the 90s just before the United States Government, under Billy Jeff and Janet Reno, barbecued eighty citizens at Waco, Texas.
Just so everybody out there realizes where the violence comes from….

The State Of The State = The State Of The Union.

California is looking just like its business model back in Washington… which is to say not well. We are unfortunately used to seeing governments big and small underestimate just about everything. We probably should scream like crazy about every item… but we can’t, not in the real day to day world. That’s why we hire politicians to represent us, who are supposed to look out for our interests and do the will of their voters.

It isn’t working that way, certainly here in California with our State Assembly, strongly left leaning and overrun by myriad special interests and environmental activism. Our politics are almost comical in ineptitude. Fresh from an environmental disaster that came very close to destroying the State’s Central San Joaquin Valley, our State government stood largely silent, as did the Governor, when the Feds shut off the water to the farmers citing damage to a 2″ junk fish.

The Assembly, ignoring the record unemployment figures plaguing the State, actually put forth a bill for a single payer health care for California. The bill was estimated to cost a total of as much as thirty billion dollars. This bill went bye-bye. But what was in the heads of the politicians who seriously put this bill forward at a time when most Californians are struggling to get along and many aren’t… getting along that is? It’s their responsibility… all of it.

Other than scope, the way the State is being run is very much like the way the nation is being run under Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama, and that’s not very pretty either. California has ‘discovered’ that, along with the reported thirty billion dollar state budget deficit, we now have an ‘adjusted’ unfunded liability to the state’s various pension programs of three hundred and fifty billion dollars. How’s that for money management? We’re not in Obama’s class and we (no thanks to our State’s politicians) don’t have a thirteen trillion dollar black hole into which everything gets thrown, regardless of reason.

The accounting system for progressives, both in Sacramento and Washville, is measured in ‘feelgood‘ points, with which the liberal leftist salves his conscience of responsibility for virtually any act, constantly reminding all and sundry of his great good intentions, regardless of disastrous results using a model which has failed every time it has been tried.

The problem with governance is that it can’t work like that… not for long. But the other endearing quality liberals have is that of vociferously demanding money from others to fill perceived injustice, while being singularly unwilling to place their fortunes on the line… they love to spend your money.
The similarities between Sacramento and Washington are striking. The remedy remains the same.

Party Of Delusion, Not Inclusion – Intellectual Bankruptcy.

There’s a lot going on over in the Congress, and not much of it is good news for the DeMarxists and the Obama regime’s headlong rush to destroy this country using the economy. It seems that resistance to the administration’s policies is reaching new heights.

Many Democrat lawmakers from both Houses are looking at the calendar, and then for which of the bright, young and fresh Conservative challengers is zeroing in on them. What looked like a pretty good year for the Republicans not too long ago, has begun to show indications of being a game changer of historic proportions.

Seems like the RNC in a bunch of states is getting wise in looking for, and recruiting, fresh strongly conservative candidates. All across the country, wherever there is a special election the Democrats are in crisis mode. The mood of the country is ugly and getting uglier. Where there’s no special election, there’s no less trepidation given the ever decreasing time between now and November. There’s an awful lot of what were solid Democrat seats out there that are now not nearly so safe, and many are in dire peril from aggressive Conservative challenges.

What’s the difference? It’s not the RNC, though they jumped aboard the Patriot express and thus far have handled themselves well. The Patriot movement insisted that smaller government, national defense, adherence to the rule of law and the Constitution be the banner that the Conservatives carry into the elections.

The opposite seems to be true over at Utopia central. No one is happy with the tepid victory which accompanied the Democrats passing the health care bill. The Anointed One has been running all over the country trying to sell Obamacare and according to reports, not all that successfully. Seems like the President can’t make it sound like anything but what it is – a fiscal nightmare and the death of the best medical health care system in the world. The more of this bill that the American people are exposed to, the higher the resistance to it grows.

What should have been Obama’s signature accomplishment will end up being the one that causes him to be a one term President. This bill, and all the other power grabs being thrown out there, have fragmented the Democrats and their mantra of race, poverty, envy and environmental fascism. Segments of the country are suffering under unemployment rates as high as twenty per cent, with no relief in sight. These folks have long reconsidered their support of Obama and his destruction derby.

Vast numbers of people unite with the Patriots every day. The contrast is marked. The Democrat message is from a party that just teems with intellectual energy but few who know how to think. The message is worn as are the people who deliver it time after time, never noticing the sparsity of their audience. The American people want answers, not feelings and falsity.

Moody’s Moody Blues… Forecast – 2.4 Million Residential Foreclosures.

In Obama’s fictional world all must be well, because the recession MUST have turned the corner…the enlightened one has told us so.
IN THE REAL WORLD IT AIN’T. It’s a frigid winter out there, just ask the global warming freaks who’ve suddenly discovered an incipient ice age and are scrambling their intellectual faux-scientific fannies off trying to spin it up.

The ECONOMIC chill in this country is proceeding apace. The FAUX economic intellectual DeMarxists hard at work DESTROYING your way of life and YOUR FUTURE are also hard at work spinning and spinning, but lo and behold there’s a severe lack of raw materials from which to spin much of anything. What’s more, what does manage to emanate from the party machinery and the sideline media these days, immediately runs afoul of the Conservative new media and Conservative blogosphere which is quick to unravel the untruths/lies of the left.

The administration was quick to trumpet that the world was brighter in December because the unemployment rate held steady at 10%. TYPICAL, they DIDN’T tell you that 661,000 job seekers had dropped off the radar entirely BECAUSE THEY HAD GIVEN UP looking for work, which was the only reason the unemployment figure remained at 10%.

Worse yet, moodys.com (Moody’s Reports) forecasts TWO POINT FOUR MILLION FORECLOSURES for 2010. This doesn’t reflect the commercial foreclosure wave forecast for this year and next either.
Realty-Trac, who publishes the largest database of foreclosures, auctions and bank-owned homes in the nation, states that there have been THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND FORECLOSURES since February, when you will remember the Anointed One and his DeMarxist allies threw 838 BILLION dollars to the winds with meaningless promises to homeowners facing foreclosure.
They keep telling us the recession has TURNED the corner. The FACTS tell us differently.

The economy grew at a SUB-TEPID rate of 2.2% last year. In the first quarter of every recovery since World War Two the economy grew at a rate of SEVEN POINT THREE PER CENT.
Do you get the idea you might be being lied to? Does ANYONE out there still think that this President or this Congress has their interests at heart?

Continue the Conservative march to freedom. Continue to make your comments and opinions known.
Your continuous pressure IS HAVING AN EFFECT.
CONTINUE your calls, faxes, emails, letters and visits to Congress members’ offices. Keep the heat on these cretins…support your Conservative candidates…and for goodness sake GET ACTIVE in your localities.

Minus 85,000 Jobs – This Is An Improvement?!

So we get the info babe on ABC (radio) NEWS broadcasting that ONLY EIGHTY FIVE THOUSAND jobs were lost last month. “The good news is that the recession has turned the corner”.
WHAT?? WHAT!! Geez, give me some of what she’s smoking! How convoluted does your thinking and your grasp of reality have to be to spin that figure into something positive?

The Labor Department today revealed the really sad and frightening truth without intending to. Since His Emptiness Barack the First’s February stimulus, in the amount of THREE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY BILLION DOLLARS of your money, THREE POINT TWO MILLION PEOPLE are no longer in the workforce. That’s the bottom line figure. Three point two million jobs, in the face of billions and billions of precious national wealth taken and misapplied in a thousand different ways, sending the money into the hands of all the WRONG people for all the wrong reasons.

In the meantime, the BARACK HUSSEIN regime’s assault on the American people and the economic engine that actually drives job growth in this country, SMALL BUSINESS goes on unabated.
It’s SO bad out there that 661,000 people stopped looking for employment in December, even as Obama was trumpeting that his administration had “created 4000 jobs”. Umm, let me guess Obama… GOVERNMENT jobs, right?

I’ve heard Rush Limbaugh postulate that Obama’s real agenda is to utterly destroy this country’s economy in order to better facilitate the imposition of an extreme leftist socialist agenda as visualized by him. I’ve heard several GOP leaders state their fears in the same vein. Then Newt Gingrich just recently said much the same thing in a different way. This has been something I had under my hat but was unwilling to unload on Obama, even given my undisguised dislike for him. Accusing him of out-and-out counter revolution, against the revolution that formed this greatest of all experiments into the freedom of man, property, thought and religion, would be tantamount to accusing him of blatant treason against the people and the Constitution of the United States of America.
Frankly, in view of the cumulative evidence I’m less certain than ever that this man has the interests of the people and this country at heart.

Once again we have the issue: We are a people of laws and we seek redress through legal ballot – yet even now as I write, the ultra-sleazy Barney Frank is trying to put forth an automatic voter registration act that would guarantee the registration of potentially millions of illegal and illegitimate voters. Stealing the votes of honest taxpaying citizens.
WHEN IN THE COURSE OF HUMAN EVENTS…….

Twenty Million Out Of Work – Obama’s Wonderland.

Spending our way out of the worst recession since the great depression, as a matter of fact folks are beginning to call this the GREAT RECESSION, is absolutely insane to anyone that has ever completed economics 101, run a small business or had to meet a payroll. Obama and the DeMarxist dominated Congress are producing money out of thin air and sooner or later someone is going to call in the chips.

There was a time that this country could and would WORK ourselves out of a recession. We had the know-how, we had the manufacturing base to do it. Hell’s bells, we don’t MAKE anything in this country any more. Virtually all our manufacturing has been moved offshore. The only growth in this country in the last year, with one out five Americans out of work, has been in the government sector and GOVERNMENT PRODUCES NOTHING!!

Big business has survived only by paring their workforce to the bone and having the remaining workforce pick up the slack by working harder and longer. Otherwise, Wall Street would look more like our unemployment figures. Large segments of Wall Street have been feeding at the government trough to the detriment of the US taxpayer, who is having to cough up more and more to keep this whole sick operation going.

Obama’s loudly and repeatedly touted solutions for our economic situation are a will-o’-the-wisp of Keynesian redistribution, which have absolutely zero chance of success. Every single program that has been put forth by this administration, from cash-for-clunkers to the foreclosure relief scheme, has not only failed but failed miserably, costing American taxpayers BILLIONS of dollars on top of the already outrageously insane PORK-LADEN TRILLIONS thrown to the winds by this dysfunctional and out of control government.

2010 is going to be a watershed year for Conservatives and Independents. If the Republican leadership thinks that they can piggy-back themselves back to power and then return to business as usual, they can pack up and leave now because we will sweep them from office as swiftly as we will get rid of the treasonous Marxists in our midst. We want America back for Americans. The list of wrongs to be righted grows daily, as does the list of those who we would be rid of. Listen now while you can, ignore us at your peril!
