The March To November – Where We Go Now.

It ain’t over ’til it’s over, and it’s not over by a long shot. Yesterday we watched as the Constitution of the United States of America had holes shot through it. I didn’t like it one bit and I resent it all to hell and gone. When I swore my oath before God to protect and defend that wonderful document I took it very seriously, as I do to this day.

Watching the elected Representatives of this country, who also swore that oath before God, lie, cheat, break the rule of law and the covenant of the Constitution, in order to force a massive Marxi-Socialist agenda against an unwilling populace has me and this country boiling mad.



Where do we go from here? As has been mentioned, Republican leaders wasted no time filing intent to recall notices. Legal and parliamentary maneuvering has begun in earnest. It’s not at all clear that this health care bill will have the clear sailing being touted by the LSM (lame stream media) and their leftist masters. There are some major irregularities with the passage of this legislation – and I do mean the Constitutional challenge variety.

The next phase of the war against totalitarianism as evinced by Barack Hussein Obama will be fought in the Senate. The Constitution requires that the language of both bills be identical. It also requires that both bills be passed before they are sent to the President, whose signature makes them law. In this case the House has passed the Senate bill exactly as written, and will attempt to make changes through a second bill which they will attempt to pass through the ‘reconciliation’ process which only requires 51 votes in the Senate. It is this process that the Republicans will attempt to obstruct at every turn.



The Democrats already know they are going to get creamed come November. That’s why you don’t hear a lot of giddy celebrating by the Democrats or the lame stream press… they are all busy doing damage control and trying to cover their tracks. Too late, we’ve got your names.

I don’t care where you live in this greatest country on Earth, find out who the Conservatives are in your neck of the woods who are challenging Democrat incumbents. Contact them and support them. Not only that, but support Conservative challengers in your state and local races. This is a bottom up process. It all starts with you in your neighborhood.

There are a handful of states out there that are actively challenging the federal government’s right to force their citizens to buy health insurance, something else which is clearly unconstitutional, and there are many more who are contemplating such challenges. The President and the Democrat Congress have not as much won a victory as ignited a conflagration, which is likely to consume them and their Marxist dreams for this country.

Pelosi’s Diaspora…The Scattering – Deadline May Be Dead.

I mentioned growing up on a small ranch. As a child I was able to observe the habits of our animals at length. One of the things that fascinated me was watching the sitting hens (a sitting hen was one who was broody and was allowed to hatch chicks) parade their chicks out into the chicken yard for the first time. The chicks would respond to the mother hen’s incessant clucking, keeping in tight order behind her and ready to flee to safety under her at the first hint of danger.

Nancy Pelosi has been having her own problems keeping her chicks in line as a fractious membership repeatedly attempts to bolt from the nest. Any reference to the Speaker as an old hen is coincidental.



There is a story out there saying Pelosi is losing her grip, with a picture of a frantic looking Nancy holding up a claw-like hand a la The Wicked Witch Of The West, sans purple skin color. That’s sort of how the whole thing is playing out for the House Madame and the Democrat House right now.

House members are bolting for good reason. With unremitting pressure from their leadership and the White House on one hand and the growing anger of the country on the other, it’s a thankless position to start with. What is becoming apparent is that despite the calls from the leadership and the proclamations from the White House to sacrifice careers, at this point the votes just aren’t there.



With pro-life members threatening to vote no and the hard left saying they’ll vote no on any bill that does not have the single payer clause, there is plenty to worry about. But there are probably others who are ready to jump ship as well, but won’t say so for fear of retribution by the White House and the leadership.

The other nasty little not-so-secret issue is that if the Democrats should win by passing the bill against the will of the people… they lose. If they lose, they still lose.
The perception of the electorate will have been that they attempted to suborn the will of the people through using the reconciliation process.

What’s Behind Window Number One?

It’s getting to be a little like a ‘Price is Right’ scheme. Behind this window we have… and behind window #2… The difference is that no one knows how to score this one yet. There’s a bunch of hype going on, primarily by a not-quite-panicky Democratic leadership. But the Republicans aren’t that far behind in taking advantage of the situation either.


With President Obama telling his Democrat membership to pay no attention to your jobs… you must sacrifice your careers for the greater good… makes you wonder how many judgeships he has to give out? I want my bill and I want it now. Uh, ok Barry, but just how motivated do you think these folks actually are in following you to Valhalla?

There’s a bunch of political experts and pundits wading in on this one. With the count, and the amount, ratcheting up from day to day. That is the count: the price that this monstrosity is threatening to cost you and your children, and their children, and their children. The number: those politicians who are actually going to be bold enough to sign away the freedom of choice of the entire populace of this country for a very bad piece of legislation on a straight party line reconciliation (there’s that word that Obama won’t use anymore, it’s no longer newspeak) vote of 51 lawmakers.

As tone deaf, elitist and arrogant as these people are they do know by now that the consequences of passage of this horrible major piece of legislation, by what amounts to legislative sleight of hand, can only further infuriate an already up-in-arms electorate, and result in a political bloodletting of historical proportions. Maybe they don’t care, maybe they are willing to slit their bellies on the Capitol steps in the Democratic version of ‘taking the big one for the Ogipper’. But not according to the count that I’ve been able to put together… not enough of them anyway.

There are a few votes that can go either way, Nancy and her smiling eyes and the White House are threatening and cajoling with unremitting pressure to bring the numbers around. At the same time the Republican leadership is cultivating as many no votes as they can manage, while the country is going out of their minds with outrage and shutting down Representatives’ and Senators’ phone lines and burning up the internet with faxes and emails, flat-out letting these people know that if they vote for this bill they won’t be around come November.

My count of Democrats is 34 for a definite yes, 32 most likely or definitely no, and 27 scared witless. This is not a complete list, but it is indicative of the rocks and shoals that are looming out of the darkness to sink the health care garbage barge.

Democrat Killing Field – The Pelosi Delusion.

Calling for all ‘loyal’ party zealots to perform ritual seppuku on the Capitol steps, the House Madam has thrown down the gauntlet and stated unequivocally that we shall have a bill! Obama will have the ‘final’ version tweaked this week with a transparent veneer of some Republican ideas of no substance or consequence…the classic leftist window dressing.

Pelosi attempted on Sunday, in an ABC interview with Elizabeth Vargas, to assert that she ’shares’ views with the movement that she referred to as “astroturf”, last summer calling the Patriot Movement a ‘faux’ grassroots phenomena. I won’t even go into how lame the Vargas interview was, but safe to say she didn’t once challenge Pelosi’s bi-polar ramblings. Pelosi further stated that the “Tea Baggers” (Patriot Movement) were being controlled by the Republican party. Those of us in the Patriot Movement would dispute that vigorously, as would many in the Republican party itself. It does, however, point out the absolute disconnect between Nancy of the Smiling Eyes and the real world. Makes you wonder who she was pitching this meatball to though.



Her rallying cry to the party faithful was that their ‘jobs’ are secondary to passing this legislation by any means necessary, though that legislation is diametrically opposed to the will of over three quarters of the entire populace of the United States. There’s a lot of hoopla out there about whether the votes in the House are there, and Nancy is well known for her back room ball busting.

The statist-controlled Associated Press polled Democratic Representatives about whether they’d support the legislation. Supposedly, 9 out of the 39 ‘at risk’ bluedog Democrats would either be willing to consider changing their vote or would not commit one way or another. Three are retiring at the end of this term who may be willing to sacrifice themselves. The fact remains that the heat is definitely on these other thirty bluedogs. This doesn’t take into consideration the pro-life members that are unhappy with the provisions in the Senate version of the bill and who have stated they will not vote for the bill. Add to that any other Democrat representatives whose votes may have changed due to pressures from constituents and patriots and the math may not work out for the speaker at all.

Things aren’t always what they seem. Knowing what a third rail the term ‘reconciliation’ has become with the electorate, the Democrats are trying to change the language surrounding it by using terms such as “majority vote” and “up or down vote”, something they seldom afforded President Bush during his presidency. They know just what a super hot button issue this is and how very unpopular this President and this Congress have become.
It will be very interesting to see just how far they are willing to take this sleigh ride to political oblivion.

The Man Behind The Mirror – Smoke Gets In Your Eyes.

Joseph Goebbels had a standard mantra which is attributed to him, in spirit if not in fact. “Tell a big enough lie frequently enough and it will be believed”. Actually Lenin, William James (considered to be father of modern psychology), and Adolf Hitler all had variations on the theme. It’s a current that runs through socialist history. In fact, socialism cannot function in the light of truth because its methodology is that of fear, intimidation and impending real and manufactured calamity.

Barack Obama is telling us ‘I am not now, nor have I ever been, a socialist’ and as a matter of fact I’m an arch capitalist and have ever been a champion of business and commerce. That’s like saying, ‘hey, look over there, that’s not a giraffe it’s an eighteen foot lion’.



Later today, Obama will put on his best socio-pathological face and demand that Republicans accede to his imperial will, while the House Madame prepares to threaten, cajole and break the kneecaps of recalcitrant House members. Republicans, far from heeding the imperial decree, will draw the proverbial line in the sand at the direction of the American people. With the imperial throne tottering and the public’s actual evaluation of Congress at an all time historical low of 90 percent disapproving, a bare 10% of the people are of the opinion that Congress has been doing its job.

The only option left to Barack Hussein will be to call for his party to commit political seppuku and call for passage of this heinous assault on our freedom by reconciliation. Everyone, especially the statists and their slavishly devoted lapdogs in the leftist press, has forgotten what Barack Obama and the Democrats said in 2005 when Republicans were threatening to use the reconciliation process to stymie the Democrats filibustering President Bush’s Judicial appointments. “Nuclear option is an arrogant power grab against the founders intent”, they howled as one Democrat after another paraded in front of the cameras. Joe Biden said, “I pray God when the Democrats take back control we don’t make the kind of naked power grab you are doing”.

Let’s see, Judicial appointments versus a Socialist takeover of our economy. Anybody see a disconnect here? For all Obama’s blather about jobs and a recovering economy, what’s coming down the road gives the big lie to all of his claims. A whole new wave of foreclosures is here and RealtyTrac is grimly forecasting that as many as four million homes will receive a foreclosure notice this year. Large-scale layoffs of fifty or more employees for as many as two thousand companies are scheduled for this year as well.
Next month, the employment forecast summary is expected to be grim news.
So, President Obama, what other good news do you have for us?

One Trillion Dollar Health Care Reconciliation Scam.

Statists are nothing if not consistent and predictable. Obama is counting on his grandstand showpiece on Thursday to gin up enough support to allow passage of this monstrous, unsustainable TAX bill through reconciliation. Despite promises of open debate and transparency in the development of the health care bill, President Obama and his leftist Congress cronies have gone about the legislation like a meeting of the forty thieves in a cave somewhere.

Thursday’s meeting is already shaping up to be a barn burner, with Obama sure to be at his arrogant high-handed best since he, Reid and Pelosi have been unable to pass health care due to (on the House side) an inability to hold together the votes required for final passage and (on the Senate side) no longer holding the required majority vote.

Desperate for a success, the Democrats are falling back on their legislative version of a scorched earth policy. Obama’s plan has been to meld the House and Senate versions of the bill and add a range of draconian measures of his own. Republicans can be expected to be highly resistant to Obama’s intimidation tactics at the ‘health care summit’ on Thursday.

The Republican leadership has already stated that it may have found a loophole in the budget reconciliation process that would allow them to introduce an infinite number of amendments to the bill. Experts on Senate procedural rules from both parties have said such a filibuster is possible. While reconciliation rules limit debate to 20 hours, Senators lack constraints and could conceivably continue offering them up until 60 members agree to cut the process off.

Senator Jim DeMint

Republican Senator Jim De Mint (S.C.) said that using reconciliation rules to pass the house-requested changes to the health care bill is “tyrannical”. “I think you’ll see us offering amendments to get us into November if we can”, said De Mint.
Senator Judd Greg, the leading Republican on the Budget Committee said, “You could continue to offer amendments, I suspect. You can offer an unlimited number of amendments after time has elapsed, so it’s logical that you could do it on reconciliation”.

Republicans are doing just what we want them to do. As long as we don’t have any defections, such as Olympia Snowe, we stand a good chance of beating this legislation. It is important that you continue to contact your Senators and Representatives to let them know we won’t stand for the Democrats Marxist tactics.

Reconciliation – Obama’s Last Gasp Marxist Power Grab.

Reeling from defeats in Virginia, New Jersey  and Massachusetts, Obama’s dramatic legislative agenda to fundamentally change Americans’ lives and the structure of our free society is in a shambles. His credibility within his own party is wearing very thin as frightened Democrats seek high ground from the rising tide of public anger.

Obama, his administration and the Democrat-dominated House and Senate have consistently operated in direct opposition to the will of the American people. We’ve been subjected to layer after layer of lies and disinformation, telling us that what we saw and heard with our own eyes and ears wasn’t true.

They have fabricated an alternative universe of statist nirvana that they want to force us to enter to satisfy their dreams of absolute power over us. Americans won’t put up with this, now or ever. If they think they saw a couple of million Americans on the march at the Tea Party event in Washington, they haven’t seen anything yet.

If Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid think that they can ram health care through using the RECONCILIATION process they may be biting off more than they can chew. For one thing, it’s not at all clear whether they can muster the required number of Senate votes to pull it off at this juncture, given the Democrat mad scramble for political cover with November looming larger by the day and increasingly angry, vocal constituents lurking over their shoulders. It’s not nearly the slam dunk deal Harry Reid, Pelosi and their slavish statist press are portraying it to be.



The obvious factoid that they are trying to get their colleagues in the House and Senate to ignore, is that if they were to push this monstrosity through using reconciliation and Obama signed it into law the public’s fury would know no bounds. We’re not nearly as dense as they wish we were. We would understand perfectly what a massive distortion of the legislative process this would be! We would also understand that it was being used in order to avoid the will of the people.

Obama has ’summoned’ Republicans to a health care ’summit’ for which he has a ready-made bill, the House and Senate versions combined, to which he has presumably added a few twists of his own which he will present to Republicans as his grand fait accompli. Republicans need to stick to their guns and demand that the bill be scrapped and started over. They should wear the mantle of the PARTY OF NO proudly, for that is precisely what we wish them to say.

America will stand with them as long as they stand for us, God, truth and the Constitution of this great country.
Get on the phone, send your faxes and emails. Write letters and flood representatives’ offices with your visits. Talk to your friends and neighbors and get them to do the same. Now is the time for ACTION!!
