H1N1, Obama’s Pandemic That Wasn’t – ‘Nuther Snow Job.

How far would Barack Obama and his administration go in order to gin up support/panic for his signature health care legislation? If you’ll remember, the grandstanding and informational blitz for the ‘UPCOMING’ H1N1 started back around January and February of last year. The Democrats were shouting from the roof tops that “THE PANDEMIC IS COMING, THE PANDEMIC IS COMING”. We HAD to have health care passed right now! Sounded an awful lot like the bleating that was going on with the ’stimulus’ didn’t it? We absolutely, positively had to have it or the banks would collapse. Wall Street would fold up and go home and the economy would collapse.



As such things usually do in the light of sober reflection, it is apparent that we would have been SO much better off had we simply allowed the banks, the investment houses and the auto manufacturers to fail and go into bankruptcy, which is precisely why the bankruptcy laws had been written into the Constitution in the first place. The market place would have adjusted, reorganizations and bankruptcy courts would have adjudicated and the void would have been filled, because nature abhors a vacuum.

As it was, we allowed the ‘leaders’ who had us dead in their sights, with SAP written all over us, to panic the country into the MASSIVE PORK FEED that is the stimulus and every single ancillary piece of paper that has come out of Washington remotely associated with it. Keep in mind that many of these so called leaders are the very ones who knowingly fostered and promoted the very factors that created the situation to start with.

In any given year in this country there will be approximately 36,000 deaths from influenza (CDC figure). In any given year world-wide there are between 250,000 to 500,000 deaths from influenza. If you add up all the space given to the ‘approaching’ pandemic, in the shameless and cowardly effort to promote the THEFT of our freedoms through these scare tactics, it would come to tens of thousands of column inches.

Pandemic FACT. To this date a total of 14,286 deaths have been attributed to the H1N1 virus WORLD WIDE. There are approximately 43,000 deaths caused by auto accidents every year in this country alone.
Seen in this light it’s sort of like the PANDEMIC that wasn’t, promoted by the presidency that ISN’T.

9.7% – What’s Wrong With That Figure?

Like every thing else about this Obama Presidency and administration, nothing is straight forward. It’s always a conjuration of smoke and mirrors. It’s just like Rush Limbaugh used to say about the Clinton administration, ''These people get out of bed in the morning saying to themselves, ‘HOW CAN WE FOOL THEM TODAY?’''

Fact is, it’s getting a lot harder to do. The leftists can no longer depend on calling up the same old reliable chimera time after time to bend issues and opinion to their will. Some of their favorite issues just aren’t playing like they used to and in a strange case of role reversal they just don’t seem to grasp what’s happened to them.

'Seasonally Adjusted' Unemployment Variance.

The unemployment figures are a good example. After shouting to the heavens that if we passed his 787 BILLION DOLLAR stimulus, unemployment rates would not go above 8%. Well, billions and billions of absolutely wasted dollars later we have 10.1% unemployment, which has magically gone down to 9.7% despite the government’s own ‘adjusted’ figures for last year, showing an increase of unemployment from about 7.5 million jobs lost during this recession to EIGHT POINT FOUR MILLION. Jobs lost in December were revised from 85,000 to ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND.



Umm, 9.7% ? Ok, if you say so. But then Obama is desperate and grasping for anything that will make his DISASTROUS Presidency just a little less catastrophic. He was forced to admit that his grandiose attempted RIP-OFF of ONE SIXTH of our total economy and the virtual enslavement of the people of this country is a failure. It was the pillar on which the rest of his Marxist dreams resided, ie: CAP and TAX, though we have to somehow prevent the EPA from passing it piecemeal through regulatory fiat. A Republican majority would do well to DEFUND AND DISMANTLE THE EPA!

Then there is that perennial Democrat dream of amnesty for about 20 MILLION ILLEGAL ALIENS residing in this country, burdening our tax systems and our citizens to say nothing of our national security. It’s too bad for Obama that Americans are so stubborn and so wedded to our freedoms that his promised socialist nirvana had no appeal, except to the permanently disaffected ten or so percent that is present in virtually any society.

Add to that the change that was brought about by the information technology revolution of which this column is part and as they say, the rest is/will be history. The battle is not yet won… in point of fact it has barely begun. But there is a clear path we as Conservatives have to follow to ensure that our country never again comes this close to allowing a totalitarian regime to gain power here.

Cortex Loses Its Courage.

One of the many sites on which this column is posted is/was Political Cortex. In the beginning we were on half a dozen or so sites and Political Cortex was one of them. It really sort of surprised me given the decidedly left-leaning bent of most of the articles and comments on their site. Wonderful I thought. A leftie site that is fair enough to accept other points of view and said as much to Dee, who at that time was my helper, as I’m absolutely thick when it comes to IT stuff. The IT staff at work see me coming and they run shrieking from the building.

Since then, Dee’s roll has expanded to encompass everything that makes this site successful. It’s a lot of hard work and she does it very well and with unfailing good cheer and humor. I used to bookmark the sites we are on until they filled the page and obscured the screen. I’m not sure even now exactly how many we are on because we’re being picked up by news outlets and blog sites around the globe.

I have YOU, the reader and lovers of freedom everywhere, to thank for that and am grateful and humbled by it every day. The United States has always represented a beacon of freedom for all peoples and I believe there is a yearning for freedom that exists in the heart of every human being no matter how severely repressed or oppressed they may be.

Today I got a note from Dee that our column for Wednesday 2/3/10 had disappeared from Political Cortex along with every single archived article of ours on the site going back to September 25, 2009. Inquiries to Political Cortex administration by Dee were met by silence… sort of like calling your Democrat member of Congress. A little tongue in cheek there, but I couldn’t resist.

Short Subject

Now don’t get me wrong, it’s their site and they can do with it as they choose. However, articles of mine have been picked up off of their site and FEATURED by news outlets and blogs around the world. It was obviously an asset to their circulation and helped us in getting the message out. Let’s face it, the loss of one site is not going to affect what we do one iota. We add new sites virtually on a daily basis.

What was behind Political Cortex’s action bears a little exploration. My editor has suggested three possibilities:
a.The editors or staff at Political Cortex took so much heat from other contributors that they felt they had to cancel us.
b.They took heat from outside sources (other left wing blogs or organizations) and felt like they had to respond.
c.Interference from the administration.

I’ve stated that I don’t have a lot of patience with conspiracy theory, so I think that administration interference is unlikely. I don’t think their reach is that long yet and they have their hands full with an Obama Presidency that’s falling apart around their ears and a Democrat Congress and agenda that is imploding.

POLITICAL CORTEX’S action is sadly so very typical of the left’s inability to tolerate any views but their own.
This column is, and remains, solidly Conservative in its views and opinions. Our mission continues to be to cast the light of truth and freedom in the defense of our Republic.

Congressional Quail Break For Cover – Conservative Bird Hunt.

IT’S MAGIC! Congressional leftists are finding all sorts of mainstream centrist and even (gasp) right of center issues to take up… as they scatter in all directions trying to distance themselves from a President and a Democratic party leadership who they see as leading them down a rocky road to destruction.

This magic transformation has come about, as predicted by yours truly, by the turn of the new year and the sudden recognition by some REALLY arrogant Democratic Congress critters who have had a really rude awakening, something else I predicted was on the way. Before anyone gets the idea that I’m making claims towards prescience, I’m not and it wasn’t really all that hard. Following the mood of the American people through news research you can get a pretty good idea of how things may go. Once the Virginia and New Jersey races were improbably won by Republicans in predominantly Democratically dominated areas the change in the temper of the electorate started to make itself known loud and clear. Then came Massachusetts and the Democrats were rocked to their core.

Tea Partiers Make Themselves Heard.

The Democrat leadership began to lose their iron grip on the membership, with Senators and Representatives being incessantly hammered by their constituents and any number of the millions of patriots who have been making themselves heard in no uncertain terms. The Obama, Reid and Pelosi brand of hope and change is not what we want and as AMERICANS we really resent having something crammed down our throats or sneaked behind our backs. We pushed back. We stopped the Obama juggernaut in its tracks, super majority not withstanding. We stopped the illegal and unconstitutional theft of our health care, though that battle isn’t over yet. There are other battles yet to fight, but as Conservative challenges have sprung up all over the nation the momentum has begun to change.

Then there was the disclosure of President Obama’s massive budget and deficit figures. With Obama more determined than ever to try and force his agenda on the American people, Americans are more determined than ever to stop him. The 2010 elections may well prove disastrous to the socialist aims of Obama and the Democrats.

In the interim the Republicans have their work cut out for them. They will have to challenge the administration and the Democrats in Congress on every item, every word if that’s what it takes. It’s good to see Republicans learning how to fight again and doing it to good result. It’s amazing to see liberal arguments dissolve when challenged on fact and principle.

Tax Spend Tax Spend Tax Spend Tax Spend Tax Spend Tax Tax.

I feel like I’m living in an alternate universe. The Obamaverse is a little like a comic book existence where everything is twisted and backwards. Like Superman’s BIZARRO world. In Obama’s land of bleak outlook, a little less bleak landscape is a HUGE success. Twisted, turned and distorted to make it appear a little less colorless, it is fed to the hounds of bleak expression to spread across the land to all who will listen, “see what great things I/ME I/ME am doing for you”.

In Obama’s perverted world, TAXING the most productive segment of our society, the area from which MOST job growth is born in this country, is somehow a noble act for which we should be grateful. Obama plans to TAX the middle class by ONE TRILLION PLUS DOLLARS in the next decade, starting with allowing the BUSH tax cuts to expire next year. Unemployment in the private sector continues to increase, while at the same time the government adds more and more TAXPAYER FUNDED EMPLOYEES to its payrolls.
Government produces nothing. Government takes from the private sector under the threat of the force of law… legal or not.

This government is unaccountable and out of control. We the denizens, the PEOPLE of Obama’s BIZARRO world, have a President who is literally running riot without the consent of the majority of the governed. We have a Congress which is a runaway freight train to nowhere, is not responsive to its controls (the Constitution) and is working directly in opposition to the people WITHOUT THE CONSENT OF THE MAJORITY OF THE GOVERNED.

The direct assault on the middle class in this country has a name. Lenin wrote about it. In a country where the free exchange of information and ideas is abridged by the power and influence of government, such as in the removal of TERRI CULLEN’S well researched and damning article on Reuters.com,”BACKDOOR TAXES TO HIT MIDDLE CLASS”, we call that tyranny.

SOMEBODY in the administration got to Reuters objecting that Obama’s magnificent budget message was being compromised by the naked truth. The journalistic giants and seekers of the truth at Reuters rolled over like a scolded puppy with its feet in the air and they pulled the article.
TOO LATE, I’ve got it (me grinning). Reprinting is not something normally within our format, but this should be required reading for every taxpayer in this country.

This is a clear abridgment of the public’s right to know and the First Amendment of our Constitution.
There’s that pesky First Amendment thing again… seems like a would-be tyrant just can’t get a break anymore.

Backdoor Taxes To Hit Middle Class

Millions of middle-class households already may be facing higher taxes in 2010 because Congress has failed to extend tax breaks that expired on January 1, most notably a “patch” that limited the impact of the alternative minimum tax. The AMT, initially designed to prevent the very rich from avoiding income taxes, was never indexed for inflation. Now the tax is affecting millions of middle-income households, but lawmakers have been reluctant to repeal it because it has become a key source of revenue.

Without annual legislation to renew the patch this year, the AMT could affect an estimated 25 million taxpayers with incomes as low as $33,750 (or $45,000 for joint filers). Even if the patch is extended to last year’s levels, the tax will hit American families that can hardly be considered wealthy — the AMT exemption for 2009 was $46,700 for singles and $70,950 for married couples filing jointly.

Middle-class families also will find fewer tax breaks available to them in 2010 if other popular tax provisions are allowed to expire. Among them:

* Taxpayers who itemize will lose the option to deduct state sales-tax payments instead of state and local income taxes;

* The $250 teacher tax credit for classroom supplies;

* The tax deduction for up to $4,000 of college tuition and expenses;

* Individuals who don’t itemize will no longer be able to increase their standard deduction by up to $1,000 for property taxes paid;

* The first $2,400 of unemployment benefits are taxable, in 2009 that amount was tax-free.


Reuter’s issued this advisory:

“The Feb 1 story headlined “Backdoor taxes to hit middle class” is wrong and has been withdrawn. The story said lower-income families will pay more under tax provisions scheduled to expire Dec 31. The Obama administration’s budget calls for the extension of those tax provisions for households earning less than $250,000.”

I’m running out of superlatives again. It’s getting to be a barometer of NATIONAL LUNACY, as played out by the White House and the Congressional Clown College. While Obama is taxing the exact segment of the population where job growth is created, just about guaranteeing negative job growth in the private sector, the House Madam, Nancy Pelosi, is spending millions of taxpayer dollars in travel, food and booze for herself, her family and political cronies, while the country is scrambling to find work and scrabbling to survive. The corruption in this government is astounding and DISGUSTING.

Barack Obama announced the budget for 2010 today and it’s still burning holes through the floor…THREE POINT EIGHT TRILLION DOLLARS!! This dude is DELUSIONAL. Or as is beginning to become more likely and more apparent, this man is purposely and purposefully driving this country to ruin so that he and his extremist party may profit from the resulting confusion and ruin. The deficit for 2009 was fully 1.413 TRILLION dollars, the highest since World War Two. But hold on to your wallets and purses ladies and gents, I’m not finished yet. The federal budget deficit for this year, with the highly accomplished organizer at the helm, is ONE POINT FIVE FIVE SIX TRILLION FRESHLY MINTED DOLLARS. But all is not lost, take heart because our intrepid budget-cutting leader has identified TWENTY BILLION dollars he will fearlessly slash.

Meanwhile, his plans for your economic misery for 2011 encompass a modest budget of THREE POINT EIGHT TRILLION DOLLARS.
Since the Obama administration ‘expects’ a 2011 budget shortfall of ONE POINT SIX TRILLION DOLLARS, expect that to be a lot closer to two trillion.
By the way, the President has had the White House inform Senator John Kerry that the 2011 budget ‘assumes’ income from the controversial climate policy approach (cap and trade) which would appear to be dead on arrival given the catastrophic failure of the attempted theft of 1/6 of our economy through the single payer heath care bill. It looks like we can expect them to try and SNEAK all or parts of the detestable cap and tax bill past us. But sneaking and lying are a strong part of the Kerry resume. We can take absolutely nothing for granted with this bunch… not for a moment… not for a split second.

While the Republicans are putting up their 10 point program we have to remember and remind them that this is not a Republican revolution… this is not a Tea Party revolution… it is a CONSERVATIVE Republican revolution. It’s a Conservative revolution. It’s an Independent revolution. It’s a revolution of loyal, patriotic Americans who are sick and tired of having our money stolen, our freedoms abridged and taken and our Constitution violated. WE ARE FIGHTING MAD! But we have to remember… we have this year to get it right. This year there can be no RINOs, there can be no accommodation with evil. We have to put up a strong united front. The old style Republican party insider stuff won’t play any more. It’s your party, take it back.

Iran’s Fools Gambit – An Empty Threat?

Ahmadinejad stuck his unkempt visage in front of the cameras to put a time and date to deliver a ‘telling blow’ to the “world powers” on February eleventh. Is this more of the Iranian President’s usual bloviating rhetoric, or could there be something more sinister here? Keep in mind that Ahmadinejad says nothing his puppet masters have not told him to say.

Newt Gingrich has said that “Iran is the most dangerous regime in the world AND THE SINGLE MOST URGENT THREAT to American national security”. The recent tests of missiles launched from merchant ships in the Caspian Sea, not targeted but detonated high in the air, have raised the urgency of a threat long speculated on by scientists, military and national security experts.

An NEP, or nuclear electromagnetic pulse, attack over a portion of this country would fry any electrical or electronic equipment not hardened against an EMP or electromagnetic pulse, throwing the affected area instantly back into a horse and buggy existence. With this threat in mind, Obama’s reducing funds to our missile defense systems and development programs may take on the proportions of intentional national suicide. Sound extreme? It wasn’t all that long ago that the world, including the US, ignoring the rising tide of aggression represented by the axis powers during the 1930’s led to World War Two and the deaths of millions of people world-wide.

Given Iran’s stated aim of the destruction of the free and independent state of Israel, the murder of its entire population and the additional promise to destroy “The Great Satan” – uhh… that would be US folks… some serious attention should be paid to our options, other than the tepid sanctions being enacted by the Obama administration. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE. That should be the Obama theme song. If there is a way to do something just exactly wrong, this goon gaggle seem to be able to find it every time.

The Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) SM-3 Is Being Deployed In The Middle East.

I’ve been hoping that Israel might force our hand. Our military has begun reinforcing and increasing our missile defenses throughout the middle east. It’s beginning to look like there will be a real shooting war over there soon. Let’s hope that we treat it like a war and not one of Obama’s ‘I can’t make up my mind but I’m thinking about it’ issues.
The United States may not be able to afford his indecision. The world may not be able to either.
Israel has substantially increased its anti-missile anti-rocket capability with land and sea based assets possessing a very high level of capability. There is no doubt in Israel’s mind what is coming.
The clock is ticking.
